Hi there.
Currently, when importing an updated excel stock list to update the stock system and automatically re-calculate them in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. I understand the relevance of having this feature in the program to help users like you manage their stocks to their latest updates.
To help us achieve your goal, I'd suggest sending this great idea to our product engineers. They may consider your feature request to benefit you and other users and may include them in our future product enhancements.

Thanks for posting in the Community accounts166,
If you are adjusting a stock list and reimporting you wont be able to import any data which is already within QuickBooks Online as this will cause a duplication, however you are able to upload any new stock items not already recorded in the system.
Please let us know if there is anything else we are able to help with.
That is a load of rubbish.....are you saying if you have 300 stock lines....you have to manually edit each on in quick books......that will take a week - so much for saving you time
Consider having an inventory management app to integrate wit your QBO account. You may update the prices by import the new data easily.
Can you recommend one
Intuit has acquired one app last year. Explore it to integrate with your QBO account.

No - you have missed the point - I do not want ANOTHER system to have to hold my stock......
And if that OTHER system can update the quickbooks stock... why cant quickbooks update their stock..
QBO offers limited features to manage inventories. Intuit decided to acquire one inventory management app to enhance the basic feature available on Plus. If you declined to have an additional app, consider switching to QBD Premier instead. Deploy a private cloud should you need to access your data by internet connection.
Seriously @Fiat Lux - ASIA , that is your answer !!!!
Why not look at it this way......
Quickbooks comes with Stock - and you pay extra for this service !!!
BUT YOU CAN DO NOTHING WITH IT.........
So, if what you are saying is true - QBO need to amend all their marketing and sales literature as they are misleading and false advertising their product in a huge way

Have you visit the link as I mentioned earlier?
So you want me to spend £300 pm so I can update my stock !!! Seriously !!!!
Also some of the detailed reviews are pretty damming and it clearly is not a developed product

Which review?
This one - see attached.
You have missed the issue here - QBO has a stock system - there is no facility to maintain it unless you do it one item by one item by one !!!
And to pay that much additional a month - I may as well buy a proper accounting system
I didn't see any attachment or picture. Imho, they acquired the app to fill the gap in their inventory management feature as an add-on. Otherwise, you should consider switching to an ERP system.
Hello, is this still the case? How can we upload an updated excel stock list to Quickbooks to get full updated stock system set and get it automatically re-calculated, whenever there is a change?
