How can i tell on payroll if a employee has been given a tax refund

Hi, @bestwishes87.

 

We can run payroll reports that provide details on payroll wages, taxes, deductions, and contributions. I'll guide you through the process.

 

  1. Open your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to the Reports menu.
  3. From the search field, type the word "Payroll"
  4. Choose the payroll report you want to generate.

 

In payroll, a tax refund typically does not show as a direct credit on an employee’s paycheck. When an employee receives a tax refund from the government like an overpaid income tax, it's usually deposited directly into their bank account or sent as a physical check.
