I've ran my weekly payroll but the FPS isn't showing in the Payroll tax centre for me to submit. I've tried deleting & re-doing payroll but any other ideas how to sort?

Hi there, S Craig. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to get to the bottom of why your Full Payment Submission (FPS) isn't appearing in the Payroll Tax Centre in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

A cache-related issue may be causing the issue wherein your FPS isn't visible in your Payroll Tax Centre even after running payroll. To isolate this, access your QBO account in a private browser so QuickBooks can start fresh. You may use these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once you're in incognito mode, head over to the Payroll Tax Centre. If you can see your FPS,  I suggest going back to your regular browser and clearing its cache to eliminate any outdated files. You can also use another supported browser.

For more details, here's a helpful article on filing an FPS in QuickBooks: Submit an FPS to HMRC in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.

And for future reference, you might find this guide useful for checking submitted filings: View submitted FPS and EPS filings in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.
