Hi @rich-richmartin- , there is now a refer-a-friend- scheme for quickbooks where you and your friend will receive a £50 Amazon voucher for every friend that you successfully get to sign up

It's great to hear that your friend is interested in using QuickBooks services. At this time, the Refer-A-Friend option is only available in QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) US version. 

 

You may want to offer your friend to try out our trial version to know more about how QBSE in UK version works. Visit this link to avail: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/uk/pricing/.

If you have to open a new QBSE account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to a few months. If you purchase from the Trial account, you have to pay the regular rate.

i flagged last week twice that the link isn’t working for me - webpage 404 and they said they would investigate and come back to me

 

not heard and have. A friend very keen to join

This isn't the kind of service we want you to experience, @Mattdg74. I’ll provide some details regarding your concern and point you in the right direction of support to help you sort this out.

 

Currently, there’s an ongoing investigation that users are experiencing the same issue when accessing the Refer A Friend landing page. We have had to take the page down from our website due to an ongoing technical issue. Please know that our team is working to get the page back up and running as soon as possible. Please check back in a few days.

 

In the meantime, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support Team again so they can add you to the list of affected users. Rest assured, you'll be notified via email once the issue is resolved.

 

Once everything is in place, you can refer back to this article anytime for further guidance about this process: QuickBooks Refer a Friend Programme 2022.

I'll share details about Error 404 when referring a colleague, andybk.

 

I can see that we have an open investigation about this error on the Refer a Friend website. This means that our engineers are already working to get the page back up and running as soon as possible.

 

While we are unable to provide an estimated timeline, please the website again in a few days and check if you can already submit a referral.

 

You can also reach out to our Chat Support Team for QBSE. They can can add you to the list of affected users and INV 76086 as a reference. The system will send you an email as soon as the issue is resolved.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click Assistant in the upper-right hand corner of your QBSE account.
  2. Type in "talk to a human" and press Enter.
  3. Click See examples, then type in "export".
  4. Press Enter and click I still need a human.
  5. Select between Message an agent or Get a callback.

So personally I’ve given up 

 

the referral scheme meant I spoke to a friend who has spent 2 weeks plus waiting for a code

I've been messed around repeatedly by the live chat peoplle being absolutely vague and just linking terms and conditions.

 

I signed up on August the 19th, approx, and just want to know if my account is going to get the bonus for being referred itself, and then if the two accounts I referred are going to get the bonus.

 

I'm in the middle of a chat at the moment with someone who can see this information - or so they say - the first one IN A MONTH to tell me this, but nah they're dancing around not telling me a single bit of information other than linking me to the terms and conditions which is what they've all defaulted to.

 

Sorry for being self-employed, I didn't think that in QuickBooks eyes it made me worthless and not deserving of actual customer service though!

Hello DMulligan1, thanks for posting on this thread, so the way a refer a friend works is you tell a friend about QuickBooks. You'll both get a £50 Amazon voucher after 3 months when they subscribe and stay with us for 90 days or more. You should of gotten an email to say that you have registered, however the person you referred has to have a subscription for the correct length of time for the person to then get the reward which I have stated above.

Well I haven't and I was told by multiple live chat staff that this is because the 60 days haven't passed, and that I will be getting an e-mail after 60 days.

 

So as I said above, which you still haven't done FYI, I want direct information about my own personal account - not vague T&C stuff like you've posted twice now.

 

Because your website glitched for not only me, but multiple people, I and I am willing to bet multiple other folks have no idea where we stand on this.

 

I want to have an e-mail telling me what is going on with the three referrals that should be attached to my account, I can't believe how difficult this is for anyone from your website to understand.

 

I should have been referred by someone, I clicked their link and signed up - I asked on the day because I got no e-mail about the referral I was told to wait 60 days.

 

I referred two other people, they didn't get an e-mail and when they asked they were told to wait 60 days.

 

I'll repeat myself, and bold it because you haven't listened yet told me that you've already explained it - which by the way is the issue with QuickBooks customer service, they don't seem to understand what you're asking and you say "referral" and they turn into robots and copy paste T&C garbage which is useless to the original question.

 

I want to have an e-mail telling me what is going on with the three referrals that should be attached to my account, I can't believe how difficult this is for anyone from your website to understand.

I gave up and closed quick books - feels like a con or if not a con no customer service or value placed on customers. It never worked for me and I raised a ticket and it’s taken over a month to “fix” no apology - I’ve cancelled and will find alternative provider
