Hi, I migrated to Core Payroll in November where I was assured all historical data would be safe and accessible, this has not proved the case. I have access only to the data from our November payroll all else is not available. Your previous message in July states you are working towards sorting this out and still this is the case. What do you advise?
Having all your payroll data in order is crucial for accurate taxes and forms, Bill. Let me help you connect with the best support to get all your payroll data smoothly transferred to the new payroll service.
Since you're still experiencing the same issue, we recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team for a more in-depth investigation. Once they've determined the source of the problem, our specialists will assist you in implementing a permanent solution.

The help links don't work, they go to a URL not found page. All my payroll history seems to be lost prior to 8th November. As well as losing all notes ( disciplinary records, holiday info etc) whcih you've told me can not be recovered, I also cannot access any report information about payroll costs prior to 8th November last year. This update has been a disaster and the help is useless. I've wasted so much time trying to sort out problems that Quickbooks promised would not happen ( no need to do anything! We've got you covered!) I am staggered at the incompetence of this transition and the flagrant disregard of customers trust and reliance on Quickbooks.
It's so interesting you knew this in July and yet still rolled out the upgrade without alerting your customers or fixing it, losing essential data in the process, offering no apology or compensation. I'm staggered by this.
Same! It's a disgrace that they didn't advise us to at least back it up!
It's not the impression we want you to feel, Kathryn. Let me share some details about switching to payroll core and how you can get a copy of your data.
We want to inform you that you can access any historical data from Standard Payroll in QuickBooks Core Payroll through a downloadable zip file. It includes P32 documents, P11, P45, P60, and payslips.

You can access SOME data. None of the notes were saved and are, so I've been told, now non-recoverable. It is also not possible to run reports from the data saved, you have to go through it all manually. I have th impression it's not fit for purpose because it's not.
