QuickBooks Self employed never opens from a notification. why is that?

QuickBooks Self employed never opens from a notification. why is that?

I get a notification when I have new transactions to review. If I press on the notification it starts to open my QuickBooks Self employed app but it never leaves the spinning circle screen.

Let's make sure you have the latest version of the app, Derek Suffolk.

 

Errors usually occur when the QuickBooks Self-Employed app is out of date.

 

Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap menu My apps & games.
  3. Select QBSE to update.
  4. Tap More.
  5. Tap Enable auto update.

iOS:

  1. Tap the App Store icon on the Home screen.
  2. Tap the Updates button to access the Updates screen, then tap the Update button for QBSE.

If the error persists, I recommend contacting QBSE support to check your account, here's how:

  1. Click Assistant from the top menu.
  2. Enter Talk to a human.
  3. Select from Start a chat or Get a callback.

Keep in mind, some options are only available at certain times.

Yes I've got the latest version, I don't see how that helps, why would it stop working just because a new version came out?

I've attached the screen it hangs on.

The new version doesn’t stop the app from working instead it improves its overall performance. To get past the issue, let’s uninstall and reinstall your QBSE.


This is to ensure you can open the notification seamlessly. Here’s how to remove the app for iOS.

 

  1. Touch and hold any app on the Home screen and tap the Edit Home screen.
  2. The apps begin to jiggle.
  3. Tap on the QBSE and then hit Delete.
  4. Once done, swipe up from the bottom edge or press the Home button (on an iPad with a Home button).

To reinstall, click on the following link and then follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process: App Store.


For Android users, check out the steps below to uninstall QBSE:

 

  1. Select Settings from your app drawer or home screen.
  2. Tap Apps & Notifications to choose See all apps.
  3. Scroll down the list until you find the QuickBooks Self-Employed and then tap it.
  4. Press Uninstall.

Next, hit on the link I provided to install QBSE again. Then, follow the instructions to complete the installation process: QuickBooks Self-Employed: Mileage Tracker and Taxes.
