Can anyone help me? Just set up quickbooks online and cannot pay anyone!! It says the employees are incomplete but I can’t see why?

Hello Kidzone, Thanks for adding to the thread about the incomplete employee message. Can you make sure their address is in full and if so. Can you resave the details on the employee's page? Then can you try clearing the cache in the browser selecting all-time in the date range and get back to us here if the message remains, Thanks

Have you set them up with their full details? Name, address, Nat Ins No, pension, DOB, Tax Code etc?

I'm here to assist you with running payroll. Normally the error message you get when trying to run the payroll service will point you to the cause of the issue.

 

You mentioned that the error message states there's info missing for your employee(s). If you do have them, you should see your employee(s) with a yellow label Incomplete. See the screenshot below for reference:

 

 

Otherwise, I'd suggest contacting our Technical Support team for further assistance. We currently have an open investigation for this specific issue, and they can add you to the list of our affected users. This way, you'll receive email notifications whenever an update becomes available. You can refer to this investigation number: INV-44722.

 

To contact them, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click the Help menu.
  3. Select Contact Us.

I'm having the same issue when adding one employee. as far as I can see there is nothing missing from her details in the set up.  I've never had this issue before.

Can anyone help me? Just set up quickbooks online and cannot pay anyone!! It says the employees are incomplete but I can’t see why?

I'm also having this problem. Having played around with the employee settings, it seems to flag when changing the national insurance category to 'A'. It was previously on J as I had a second job, but now I'm working full time for my own business, I wanted to change the category to A but it flags an error saying "Add NAME'S info to pay them. If you don't need to pay them right away you can switch them off for this payroll". 

 

I have cleared my cache data and that hasn't solved it. Any advice?

I'll help you get in touch with our QuickBooks Support. This way, a representative can check and investigate the error to determine the root cause of the problem. They can also help you set it up so you can get back on track and pay yourself in QuickBooks Online (QBO). When you're ready, these are the steps:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Select Help (?).
  3. In QB Assistant, enter the topic you need help with. You can also enter questions.
  4. Select Contact Us to connect with a live support agent.
  5. Choose a way to connect with us:
  • Start a chat with a support expert. Live chat all day, M-F.
  • Ask the community to get help from businesses like yours.
  • Call us. M-F, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and S-S, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
