Thank you for your reply, however I havent been able to cancel my Payroll subscription since there is no Cancel button to 'press' on the Payroll section you described.
Regards
Mike
There are a couple of reasons why you don't see the Cancel button, Mike.
It's possible that you're not logged in as the Admin or the payroll subscription is on a trial account.
Make sure you're using an Admin access to be able to cancel the subscription. If you can see a Subscribe button, it means that you're still on a trial period. If so, the system will automatically end your subscription at the end of trial.
If you already paid for the subscription and is already logged in as the admin, it's also possible that a browser issue is hiding the Cancel button. I'll share some steps on how to resolve common browser issues when working in QuickBooks Online. Here's how:
Use an incognito/private browsing session just in case the same issue appears. Use these keyboard shortcuts to initiate an incognito browsing session:
You can also delete cache or use any of browsers that I've enumerated above. They all work well with QBO.
Lastly, you can reach out to our phone support team just in case you can't still see the Cancel after that. They'll be able to verify your account and help you manage your subscriptions. Here's how to get their contact details:
Please know that we're always here in case you have any other questions. We'll make sure that you're able to sort it out.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
Im running as Administrator, cleared the cache and acted incognito but to no avail. No cancel button appears and since we are paying more than the essential monthly fee I can only assume that we are not on a trial.
If I remember correctly we were told we had to switch over to the new system before the end of the tax year ending 2020. TBH I wished I hadnt but hey ho, but obviously we dont want to pay for something we wont use. So we could do with another method of cancelling.
Regards
Mike
Hello there, @Mike220359.
Since the issue persists after clearing the cache and logging in as an administrator, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Customer Support Team. This way, they can pull up your account securely and help you cancel your payroll subscription.
Here's how:
Also, I encourage checking our Help articles page to learn some tips and tricks in managing your QBO account. From there, you can read great articles that can guide you through the steps by steps process.
Don't hesitate to drop a comment below if you have other questions. I'm more than happy to help. Take care!
