Hello Rjwbailey
There is not a way we are aware of in the product itself to change the print settings for the payslip when you download and then print the payslip it can be changed in the printer settings either in the browser itself(if you are selecting print on the page you are o or in adobe reader if that is the download tool you use.The settings come from the browser or computer rather than being able to change them within QuickBooks itself.

I understand that you can ask employees to fiddle about with the print settings to make the payslip print to A4 paper size. It's not that easy unfortunately for the less 'technically able' recipients.
But why does the PDF that is generated as an attachment to their email have a completely non-standard paper size? Why not use A4 paper size like everybody else (including QB desktop payroll)? And where 99.9% of users have an A4 printer?
Hello, @rjwbailey,
I appreciate the time you've taken to share your insights about the paper size when printing payroll forms in QuickBooks Online.
I'll make it my top priority to submit this feedback to our developers for review. They are the ones who rolls out updates and product enhancements to the program.
While we're unable to configure QuickBooks to automatically use the A4 paper size for printing, you will need to toggle the print settings manually.
