Since you've done everything to file your return and get the same check VRN message, I'd recommend contacting our Care Support team to investigate this further. They have tools to see your setup, and in that way, the unexpected behavior would be resolved as soon as possible.
Here's how:
- Click the Help menu and choose QuickBooks Desktop Help or press F1.
- Click on Contact us at the bottom.
- Select Run the business > VAT.
- Scroll down and click the Get Phone Number button.
