One QBO account is for one company file. You may manage branches/divisions by utilizing the Class/Location feature available in QBO Plus. Otherwise you should open a new account.
Utilize a tool to migrate some transactions data between QBO accounts if required.

Hello,
I have the same issue but the answer is not helping me.
I have 2 companies, both under my personnal name. This means all my expenses and sales go to the same account. However, when I send bills, I want to be able to choose the name I put on top of the bill. Is there a way to do so without having to manually change the name in the settings ?
Thanks
Let me shed some light on customising the name shown on top of your bills in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Roxannejl.
Since only one company file is allowed per QBO subscription, there isn't a way to choose the name shown on top of your bills when sending them to your vendors.
While this option is unavailable, you can forward your suggestion to our software engineers. By doing so, they can thoroughly review your recommendation and may potentially consider including it in our future product developments.
To do that:
Moreover, you might be interested in emailing your expense receipts and bills to QBO so the system can create a transaction for you to review and categorize.
It's always a pleasure to assist customers with their concerns. If you have further questions regarding bills, please don't hesitate to return to this thread. We're always here to help. Take care and have a great rest of the day.
