Good morning.
We have received an email that Quickbooks Desktop will no longer be available in our region in 6 months time. Does this mean that we have to transfer to our file to Quickbooks Online system or otherwise Quickbooks will no longer be available.
If yes what is the procedure please.
Thanks
Hello Aarona, What region are you in and what version of desktop have you been using and we'll look at this for you?
If you have already got the notification, it means you are one of the affected customers outside the UK and Ireland. You will be fully supported on QBD UK version until February 28, 2021. You may have 2 options:
1. Migrate to QB Desktop US version with a one time license
2. Migrate to QB Online of your own country version
https://quickbooks.grsm.io/Asia-Pacific
then you have to consider these options:
1. Utilize a 3rd party migration tool
https://transactionpro.grsm.io/qbd
2. Purchase a 3rd party migration service
I live in Malta and we use Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2019
Would it take a lot of time to transfer from desktop version to online version?

If you prefer to migrate from QBD UK to QBO EU version for Malta, the turnaround time should be 3-5 business days.
Check our profile name and send your business email address in a private message.
So it's not something that can be done during the phone? I though this will take just a few hours.
Hello Aarona,
Thanks for coming back to us,
Can we ask do you have a UK address at all or is it a Malta address only?
@Ashleigh1 No we have a maltese address.
Thanks for coming back and clarifying on what address you're using, Aarona.
The option to migrate your QuickBooks Desktop United Kingdom version to QuickBooks Online (QBO) Malta region is unavailable. In this case, we'll need to subscribe to QuickBooks Online (QBO) International version.
To help you migrate or subscribe to the QBO Malta version, I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team. They'll pull up your account in a secure environment and help you with this one. They can also verify the QuickBooks Desktop Discontinuation email notification you've received.
Here's how to reach them:
For additional reference about data file conversion, just check out the Moving form QBDT to QBO PDF link.
The Community will always have your back if you have any other concerns or questions about QuickBooks. Assistance is just a post away. Take care always.
@RCV is this from Quickbooks please as I do not have the sane information.
Can you please give me customer care number so maybe I can call.
You are unable to contact Support directly. You have to ask the call back or send the message from your Help menu as mentioned by RCV. I am not sure they will offer you any conversion service.
Can you help me how I can get a call please from Quickbooks team as I am not managing. When I choose Help I do not have the below options.
Hello there, Aarona.
If the built-in Contact Us option doesn't work, you can go directly to our website and follow these steps to reach them:
Note that you'll have to reach them within support hours.
Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
