Welcome to the Intuit Community, DCooke.

I’m happy to help re-establish the connection of your credit card.

I’ve checked with my resources and didn’t find any reports about unable to connect the Amex account. To single out the issue, let’s perform some basic troubleshooting steps.

Your browser keeps a record of all the websites you've visited. Sometimes, the stored data can cause unexpected behavior while using the application.

Depending on the browser you’re using, follow these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Internet Explorer: press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N.

Once the private the window opens, sync the account. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This will enhance the functionality of the browser.

Otherwise, use a different browser to connect your Amex credit card.

With these steps, you should now be able to connect your account seamlessly and accept downloaded transactions.

Keep me posted if you get the chance to try all these suggestions and what the results are. I'll be right here ready to assist further.
