Thanks for reaching out to the Community for your concern, ddkhan3003.
For me to be able to provide you with an appropriate solution, I'd like to ask for further details about the costs that appear on your QuickBooks Online account. Are you referring to a certain report that shows only your costs for this year? Or perhaps are you referring to the costs you see on your dashboard?
Any additional information such as screenshots will be much appreciated. Just ensure to filter any confidential information.
I'll be in the comment section for your response and for any other costs and QuickBooks-related queries you'd like to bring up. Take care.

just to clarify. Business bank account has transactions from 2021 but quick books is picking up only 2024 transactions. how can I make quick books pick up the previous year transactions ?
Thanks for clarifying your concern, ddkhan3003. Let me help you sort this problem out and get you back on track.
QuickBooks Online can download past transactions for up to 90 days, but the actual download duration depends on your bank's policies when you first connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online. The transactions are only downloaded when they are no longer pending and are officially posted on the bank site.
On the other hand, we also have the option to manually download your transactions to QBO. To do that, we need to request the transaction information or bank statement in CSV or QBO file format from your bank. After doing this, we can manually upload it.
Here are the steps to follow:
If you face issues when manually uploading bank and credit card transactions into QuickBooks Online, you can refer to this article for future reference: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online.
Please feel free to come back to this thread for updates, and queries on bank transactions and other QuickBooks-related matters. I'll be keeping an eye out. Have a good one.
Hi,
I've just noticed the current months cost are not pulling through properly either. Can you double check this please?
I have disconnected and connected a few times bank is saying to speak with quick books ?
Does this mean I need to manually upload statement every month. Plus I don't want to be duplicating the transactions that have already been uploaded
Thanks for getting back to us, ddkhan3003-gmail.
You'll only need to manually import bank transactions from previous years that you want to include in QuickBooks.
Any recent transactions will be downloaded through the automated bank connection. Checking your account on our system, this is showing a successful download today. Please get back in touch if you are continuing to experience any issue. Thank you!
Jan and Feb for this year hasn't pulled through any transactions . also hasn't pulled all transaction for march and April
