I hear you and acknowledge the benefits of removing old vehicles in QuickBooks Self-Employed. But the only option we have is to deactivate the old vehicle that you are not using. Then, we can set the new one as the primary vehicle so that the system automatically tags auto-tracked trips to it. Let me show you how:
Depending on the device you're using, here's how to deactivate a vehicle:
On a web browser
- Select the Mileage or Trips menu.
- Choose the Vehicle icon.
- Look for the vehicle you want to deactivate.
- Click Deactivate.
On an Android or iOS device
- Open the QuickBooks mobile app.
- Follow the steps to go to the Manage Vehicles menu.
- Select the vehicle you want to deactivate.
- Choose I no longer use this vehicle
- Tap Confirm.
After, you can follow these steps in assigning a primary vehicle:
- Select the Mileage or Trips menu.
- Click the Vehicle icon.
- Choose the vehicle you want to set.
- Toggle on the Set as primary vehicle button.
- Click Save.
