Hi, co-moisescu.
This error refers to the bank account used to connect to your online bank. We can only have one connection to a bank account in QuickBooks, so we will need to select a new or different account.
We can connect multiple bank accounts. However, doing it simultaneously isn't possible. If the old bank account is connected online, we need to disconnect it to link it to the new one.
Also, each bank has a different way of transmitting its transactions. Hence, when connecting bank accounts to online banking, it's best to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions beforehand.
So, if your connected bank downloads transactions to one account, you'll need to connect only the parent account. However, if the transactions download to the individual accounts, connect only the subaccounts.
We can also take a look at the articles below. This will provide you tips on how to manage multiple accounts in QuickBooks Online as well as a link to reconcile your account:

@TirzahC thanks for your response. I must say I am new to Quickbooks and I m still trying to learn it.
I am yet to comprehend what am I suppose to do right now. I would appreciate if you can guide me step by step on how to connect the bank account to the qb account. I ve got a virgin credit card that I would like to add. or if you can guide me on how to disconnect the bank account.
Kind Regards,
Constantin
I must add that initially I have created a self employed quickbooks account where I have added the virgin credit card. Then proceeded to delete it before opening up this new qb online account. I am having problems in identifying the link where I can disconnect the credit card and then add it again in my new qb account.
These details are helpful, Constantin.
Before connecting your Virgin Money credit card to QuickBooks Online, let's ensure it's already disconnected in the self-employed version. Here's how:
Once done, we can now connect the account. Here's how:
If the issue persists, I'd suggest accessing your account via a private window. This helps determine if this is a browser-related issue. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
Once signed in, connect the account again. If it works, let's clear the browser's cache to improve the banking performance of the program. Otherwise, you can use other supported browsers.
Meanwhile, the issue you encountered in your Aqua Mastercard is a temporary error that should self-resolve within 48 hours. I'd recommend logging in to your bank's website before reconnecting.
In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions to QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you review downloaded bank and credit card transactions and put them in the correct accounts: Categorise and Match Online Data.
Please keep me posted if you need help managing or connecting your bank and credit card accounts. I'm always here to help you out.
