Mileage issues

Hello,

For the past few day when I go into mileage on the app I get "Unable to retrieve trips" error and cannot review my trips.

No trips showing up when logged in on computer either.

When I am driving quickbooks tracking app pops up on the phone as per usual. No settings bas been changed, all set up as required by quickbooks.

Has anyone else experience the same issue?

Thank you for the help!

Mileage issues

Hi there, Tompavi. I'd like to inquire about the device you're using for tracking mileage.

For iOS device users, I'd like to inform you that there's an ongoing investigation regarding mileage tracking. I suggest contacting our Live Support team to be added to the list of affected users and keep updated on this matter.

If you're using an Android mobile app, please ensure that your QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app and device are configured accurately. Additionally, please note that only users with admin access to the company file can track mileage.

Once signed in, verify if the auto-tracking feature is enabled in the app. Finally, follow the troubleshooting procedures to resolve the mileage tracking problem.

Once logged in, verify that the auto-tracking feature is enabled in the app. If the issue persists, follow the troubleshooting procedures to resolve the problem.

  1. Check your phone's location settings.
  2. Disable your hotspot while driving.
  3. Review if the app is tracking miles.
  4. Add the QuickBooks mobile app to your permissions lists.
  5. Update the QuickBooks mobile app.
  6. Update your device to its latest version.
  7. Make some changes to your device's settings.

For more information and detailed steps, refer to this guide: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

Sometimes, you can encounter unexpected behaviour in the program browser-related issues. Let's perform some basic troubleshooting steps to isolate the problem. First, sign in through a private window, then review your trips again. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If it works fine, return to your default browser and clear its cache to start afresh. You can also use another supported and up-to-date browser

You can also automatically track mileage within the program.

Keep in touch if you need further assistance with mileage tracking or other QuickBooks-related inquiries. The Community space is available to assist you around the clock. Keep safe.
