HI, I've been attempting to set up the reciept forwarding for a number of months now and everytime i have bee fronted with the same issue: An error message comes up saying there is a server problem and that it is Quickbooks and not mine. Has anyone else encountered this issue or is it just me having teribble coincidence with my attempts.? My second issue is the programs inability to allocate the cost of goods for resale to a specific invoice. As a builder I often have two, three even four jobs running simutaniously, when reviewing purchased materials it would be very usefull to allocate this directly to an invoice with an option to be able to put a percentage onto the resale of the materials. Is there a way around this or a function that I'm missing? Peter
Hi there, @Peter Lacey,
For your first question, we're currently receiving reports from other customers about the error you received when setting up the receipt forwarding feature. Rest assured, our product engineers are working to resolve this timely.
I suggest getting in touch with our Customer Care Team to be added on our list. This way, you'll receive email updates about its status and resolution.
On the second one, there isn't currently a way to directly allocate the cost of goods for resale to an invoice.
As a workaround, you can add a new line to the invoice by clicking Add work. Then, enter details of the materials in the Description field. Once the payment comes into the bank, you can assign them categories. For more information about the category list, you can visit this article: About SA103F Categories.
I recommend checking out this article for more product updates: QBSE Blog. To help you speed up in reviewing and categorising transactions, you can use rules in the program. For more details about this process, here's an article you can refer to: Create Rules.
If you have other concerns, I'm just a comment away. Have a good day.
I'll share your suggestion directly to our Product Development Team, @Peter Lacey.
