Hello, I try to do this on an Android device. However it says to continue I need to create a; 'quickbooks online company?" What is that?
Hello there, Furu.
Let's get this working and have your bank connected in QuickBooks.
Sometimes, unusual behaviors can be caused by an outdated application or a corrupted file cache. Please make sure to check the latest update in Play Store. Then, open your QuickBooks Online app and try to connect your bank.
If it still says to create an account, you'll want to clear the app's cache. This helps remove the corrupted files cache and fix these kinds of errors.
Here's how:
After the steps, open the app and connect your account again.
Here's how:
You can also use the web browser and connect your bank account from there. Feel free to watch the video tutorial in this article: Connect your bank feeds using Open Banking.
Once your account is connect, you can start categorising and matching your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Please keep me in the loop after trying out the steps. I'll be right here to help you out some more. Have a good day ahead!

Hey! If I buy an old android phone and set up my HSBC kinetic feed. Will I then be able to still use my apple/mac to login to QB online and catergorise the transactions? Or will the HSBC kinetic account not show on mac/safari?
thanks
Hi IOWALSH, thanks for joining this thread - QBO uses cloud-based software meaning the data that you upload on your account will be accessible across all devices that you sign in on. The bank connection will remain authorised for a 90-day period during which transactions will update automatically and will be visible within the banking tab. :)
Hi Georgia,
thanks for getting back to me.
so in theory I could buy a refurbished android phone on the cheap. Setup my hsbc kinetic feed with that, but then still manage my transactions on my apple desktop?
Each time I login on my apple desktop the new hsbc kinetic feed will show new transactions?
then every 90 days I can use the android handset to update the bank feed.
until apple sort themselves out
Hi IOWALSH, yes that would work however you are unable to connect to HSBC Kinetic on any devise as it is not available currently as you can see on this list of banks that can and cannot be connected to so it would be a case of keeping an eye on the list to see when it is back available to connect to.
Oh, I thought from the above HSBC kinetic bank feed works when the feed is setup using Android?
It was available to connect to a while ago but at the moment it currently it is not as you can see via the list. It would be a case of csv your transactions in until it becomes available to connect to again on the list.
Is there a time frame?
HSBC Kinetic app is able to connect to quickbooks to retrieve cash flow insights, i.e invoices etc but QB can't import transaction information via open banking.
Many other accounting software companies can integrate with HSBC Kinetic it seems.
Hi IOWALSH, we don't currently have a timescale for this, please refer to our guide which will be updated once this becomes available again - we apologise for any inconvenience caused. :folded_hands:
Is hsbc compatible with Quickbooks ?

HSBC Kinetic can now be connected on:
- QuickBooks Online Mobile iOS and Android
- QuickBooks Self-Employed iOS
If you use QuickBooks Self-Employed on Android, please check Understanding if you can connect your bank feeds to Open Banking on when you can connect your bank feed.
Please reply if you need any help connecting HSBC Kinetic.
Hi Shaun,
Hope you are well?
Tried it and It doesn’t work.
HSBC kinetic redirects you back to an Intuit url and the page never loads to finish the connection.
Hello, @IOWALSH.
We appreciate your response and following the steps above.
I advise contacting our customer support team if you're still having issues adding your HSBC Kinetic bank after following those instructions. They can assist you in resolving the issue by checking the account in a secure environment.
Here's how to reach them from the app:
Check this article for more information about the different types of support we offer and their availability: QuickBooks Online Support.
Let's manually upload those most recent bank transactions to QBO in the meanwhile. The transactions must be manually downloaded from the bank. Upload the file to your account after that. Here's more information about adding your transactions manually in QuickBooks Online (QBO): Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
After adding them, you can now match and categorise them to ensure your books are accurate and there aren't any duplicate transactions: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
You can always get back to me if you have questions or other concerns about adding your bank account in QBO or anything else, by leaving a reply below. I'm always here to assist. Have a great rest of the day.
Thanks Mary.
