Why is Intuit support so difficult to use / elusive ?

Having just had to try using support (for which I pay £13.80/month !!!) I now find it really difficult to get hold of / use.

It's a mitxture of difficult to find / not really there.   Considering the amount charged for it, I find this astonishing.

-

All I wanted was to get a duplicate of a monthly Intuit bill which I didn't receive by email (for whatever reason) last month.

The QB support page quotes only a sales phone number - not much use for support.

Nowhere on the Intuit web site is there a true support portal.   Instead there is a link to here:  a "community" site.   Am I paying a support fee to access a user self-help community ?

-

I asked here, and got various answers, which as usual for a community site proved to be well intentioned but not actually what I needed.

-

For a business the size of Intuit, I think it amazing that a proper support portal where email, online chat etc. with their own support personnel is not provided;  and the actual support phone number seems to be a well kept secret.

-- I eventually was provided with the correct support phone number after calling sales !!!

Telephone support turned out to be someone definitely not in the UK and the assistant didn't seem to understand everything I said.

So - is it really worth my while paying a significant monthly fee for support?

Or have I missed something?

Why is Intuit support so difficult to use / elusive ?

This is not the service we want you to experience, @S400.

We have streamlined  the process to contact our phone support. This ensures that you'll not stay on hold. That being said, let me share some information to help you view your billing history.

Meanwhile, you can view your subscription history by accessing the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPs). Here's how:

  1. Go to camps.intuit.com
  2. Sign in with your Intuit Account info.
    • This could be different from what you use to sign in to your company file.
  3. If you see multiple products to choose from, select QuickBooks Desktop.
  4. Choose View your transaction history.
  5. From the Time Period drop-down menu, select a date range of transactions.
    • You can select transactions from the past 2 years.
  6. Find the order you need, then select the order number to see order details.
  7. To print the transaction list, select Print this page.
  8. Select Back to my Account to go back to your CAMPS dashboard.

You can read through this article for more detailed steps: Find your QuickBooks Desktop billing history.

On the other hand, should you wish to continue and speak with our Customer Care Team, you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Help menu (?).
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Enter your concern, then select Let's talk.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

Just a heads-up, we are open from Monday-Friday 8 AM to 4 PM PST. This ensures our agents can reach out to you as soon as they’re available. You can check to this link anytime if you want to know our support hours and contact us at a time convenient to you: Support hours and types.

Know that I'm just a few clicks away if there's anything else you need. I'll ensure you're all set. Have a good one!

Why is Intuit support so difficult to use / elusive ?

Hi,

Someone else also recommended CAMPS - I can log on to it, but it says I don't have any account/subscriptions.   So that's no use.

Also, my help menu in QB does not have a chat function.   Only a link to "support" which takes me to the QB support page on the web which helfully provides a SALES phone number and not a support phone no.

Hence my original post.

Hi,

The actual support phone number I was given is (Removed)

-

The sales number shown on the QB support page is (Removed).  Which is only useful for getting a sales person to dig out the real support number.
