Wish List - Feedback Thread.

After the last two weeks of constant issues, missing features, zero feedback on feedback, pretty terrible customer serve to be blunt, and further to my previous thread https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/other-questions/re-lack-of-customer-engagement/01/...

I'm trying to make things better with QBO so I'm going to start this thread in the hope that someone at Intuit takes note and starts addressing issue for us PAYING CUSTOMERS migrating over from QBD. You have forced us into this corner so PLEASE HELP WITH BETTER FEEDBACK.

Don't get me wrong, the core of the system isn't that far off, but there are some frankly stupid decisions being made with really basic features missing. Below is a list of issues or features which I've currently found so if anyone from Intuit would like to start engaging instead of just saying it's not possible to do that, please use the feedback process, that would be great. If another users would like to add to the list please reply and I'll add it. I'll try and maintain the list over time.

1. No being able to send forms via your own companies email

Why is this an issue. When a customer has a query regarding an invoice/statement they can't reply direct to the sent form which can cause confusion and is creating more work for the customer.

2. Common send form email body. This signature area should be common across all forms which are sent.

Why would it not be common across all emails. I sent an invoice, statement, PO this should be the same. There also seems to be a mix up in message to customer and the email body?

3. No function to customise purchase orders, statements and other send forms to match the common invice company branding.

Branding should be again common across all forms as with the common email body.

4, Along with the above issues, because we can't change anything on the purchase order style we also have to put with with the rather stupid "Have A Nice Day" on the email body, because it's not common. I'm sorry but this isn't a very professional signature and saying in the UK. People actual squirm at the saying.

5. Custom column in invoices. Although there is a single PO field in the header of an invoice. Many companies will be creating an invoice with multiple lines of PO's per invoice. Have at least one custom column would help around the issue and give other user the ability to at least have an extra line of information if required. Yes we can use the decryption box but it actually makes for a messy looking invoice.

6. Additional custom DATE fields to PO's. When creating a PO for a supplier typically you'll have the date created, but it's also it can be important to have a delivery required date on the PO form. Users can add a customer field box but it's just text, would be quicker if they could add an actual date field box. Would be even easier if we could set a future date expected per suppliers. So let say 10 working days etc.

7. Having batch change price and purchase price for all stock or service items. Currently downloading and changing the xml file certainly isn't ideal. It's several exytra steps which can cause problems to inexperienced users.

8. HSBC credit card (maybe this applied to other banks too) has both a individual CC account and a separate holding account. By having both displayed within QBO, no option to only add one. This is leading to additional work when excluding duplicated transactions. If it's not something that can be achieved server side an option to exclude a whole bank account would save time and clutter.

9. The sort feature doesn't work as intended in various reports if the report is to sort via invoice number. It currently sorts via date, then invoice number and not by the selected column.

For now that's my list but will add to it if anyone else requests anything. There are a few other things I have forgotten about but will add when I remember.

Any other users out there wishing to wade in please feel free.

I appreciate your feedback and can see how the benefit of the features you've mentioned above would aid you in running your business with QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Mark Armistead. That's why I'm here to share a few details about this.

We take customer suggestions as opportunities to improve the various features of our products. Therefore, I would encourage you to send suggestions or product recommendations.

Your valuable feedback will be forwarded and reviewed by our Product Development team to help improve your experience while using the program. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Type in your recommendation in the Share your feedback field.
  4. Click Next.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.

I've attached screenshots below that show the first four steps.

Also, to further guide you in managing your account and the growth of your business using QBO, I'd recommend checking out one of our support websites: QuickBooks Help Articles. It includes topics about account management, banking, and expenses, to name a few.

On top of that, I'd also recommend visiting this page to keep you updated with the latest software improvements and enhancements with QBO: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.

I'm all ears if you have other feedback and feature concerns in QBO. You can drop a comment below, and I'll gladly help. Take care, and I wish you continued success, @Mark Armistead

You see Rea, your reply is everything I’m complaining about with terrible support. If you would have read my post properly you would have seen that I mention the feedback system, and that is terrible. Copying and pasting a reply is NOT customer support. Read my referenced post also which gives a better detail as to why the feedback button is a waste of time.

I’m going to keep this post alive until someone engages with me who actually cares about fixing or addressing the issues.

I’m starting to think these forums are run by bots to be honest.

Hi Mark, we appreciate this may not be your preferred method of feedback however our feedback process is currently through the feedback tool within the QuickBooks account only. Feedback submitted on the community will not be seen by our developers which is why we are directing you to use this function. We don't use bots on any of our support/Community threads, these are answered by technical support and community members.

It's not about being my preferred method of feedback Georgia, it's the fact that the feedback method is flawed.

Do let's look at this objectively. I send in a feedback about an issue. I receive an email saying how great it is that I have sent a feedback comment, and how great it is that I have sent feedback about an issue. Then that's it. ZERO response regarding if the feedback has been an issue that would looked at. or if it's something that could or would be addressed.

So what so we as paying customers do. Send the feedback again in a few weeks? Months. YEARS?

I'm not expecting to "engage with the developers" however, what I am expecting is better feedback regarding issues and not copy and paste response I have been getting for weeks. Especially after a couple of issues I have been reporting turned out to be YOUR ISSUE.

I'll keep plugging away at this until you, Intuit start to engage with us PAYING customer and not try and dictate how you think this process should be conducted.

Answer me this. If the devs don't read these forums, then why not?

List update to now ask why ALL send forms aren't customisable. Invoice is the ONLY send form which you can brand with a company logo.

Plus added request for batch change for service/stock items for purchase and selling prices. XML editing isn't idea.

8. Messy handling of sub credit cards and a banks holding account. No option to exclude or not actually add the sub account from HSBC.

Several weeks latter and ZERO feedback from anyone from Intuit. YES I have sent the feedback about all the issues, more than once in some cases.

I’m losing my patience with Intuit over this. Desktop users are being made to downgrade for a high subscription. Will someone from Intuit please engage over these issue as I have said in other post your feedback system IS USELSS!!!!

It taking me longer to do task due to stupid basic issue missing. It’s not on Intuit.

Three months later and nothing, no feedback, no solution to any of my posted issues.

Question, do devs actually take feedback on board because from what I can see it takes them YEARS to even fix very minor suggestions. Across two business I'm having to spend MORE time to ge it anywhere near the Desktop version of Quickbooks.

And here we still are. ZERO problems addressed, ZERO customer care. ZERO management taking any notice of all the problem people are reporting. Meanwhile I have had emails congratulating my on stupid forums awards for my complaints.

Just about sums it all up
