Hi, my connection to Capital One has been down since 11 Apr, anyone else have problems. I have reported it but no progress as yet. Looks to be the wrong weblink on QB ?

Can we just confirm are you using QuickBooks Self Employed or QuickBooks Online?What url does it direct to when you log in to Capital one?

Had a connection working fine for many years

You have this link pre populated

which cannot be amended and takes you to this page

which asks another option about credit cards or creditwise?

Which I wonder whether it gets stuck here but just a thought.

The link I log into is

which brings you straight to the log in page

Hello Russell,

 

We are aware of the issue connecting to CapitalOne - they have updated their site, which has stopped QuickBooks from being able to connect. Our engineers are working on resolving the issue with the bank as quickly as possible.

Hi, my connection to Capital One has been down since 11 Apr, anyone else have problems. I have reported it but no progress as yet. Looks to be the wrong weblink on QB ?

Capital One connection had been fixed and working fine for a little while. It's now not working again. It keeps saying There's a temporary issue try again in a couple of hours or something unexpected happened try again in a couple hours. This has been going on for about a 2 weeks.

I'll share these steps with you that can resolve banking connection errors:

 

  1. Use an incognito/private browsing session and log back in to your account. 
  2. Go back to the Banking menu and click Update. If the account updates successfully, switch back to the original browser or regular browsing session.
  3. Delete the temporary saved files and stored cache. Here's an article on how to do it: Delete or disable cache and temporary internet files in your web browser.

You can also use these supported browsers to further isolate the issue:

 

  • Google Chrome.
  • Mozilla Firefox. 
  • Microsoft Edge.
  • Safari 11 or newer (Mac only).

 

If you're still getting the error, please contact our phone support for QuickBooks Online. They'll take a closer look at your banking connection with Capital One and help you further with this. Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand of QBO. 
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Let them know that you're having an issue with your Capital One account, then click Let's talk.
  4. Select Get a callback and enter the required info. You can also click Start a chat if you want to reach out to our Chat Support Team.
