Hello Ew7014, thanks for posting on this thread, so Payroll is a separate plugin to the main part of QuickBooks, there isn't the functionality to pull the CIS data into the EPS, it has to be manually entered. You have to enter the CIS figures on the P32 manually it doesn't get pulled through from the chart of accounts. This is if you are using advanced payroll in QuickBooks.
Hello there, @kirsty-robertson.
I can definitely help you with how to record CIS suffered works in QuickBooks Online.
To properly record CIS Suffered, you can visit this page: Record Deductions Suffered under CIS. Then, follow the Enter CIS Suffered steps. When you submit the return to HMRC.
You can find more details about EPS here: Submit EPS to HMRC in QuickBooks Online Standard Payroll.
If you need more help with QuickBooks Online, I'd recommend browsing our articles. You can go to our general support page to find them.
I can help you with other future concerns regarding QuickBooks Online. Just post them here. You can also add any other follow-up questions about EPS or CIS topics.
Thank you for your email - i don't seem to have any of those options - we have the advanced payroll so not sure if that makes a difference.
CIS is turned on, the amount suffered is recorded on the sales invoice when issued to the customer (where applicable) and recorded in the chart of accounts - hence is not a payroll transaction and maybe the cause of my issue
Any help, gratefully received
Kind Regards
Kirsty
Thanks for posting, @kirsty-robertson.
I have some information about EPS. You have the option to submit your EPS automatically or manually in QuickBooks. All you have to do is configure your EPS settings by going to:
For details, check out this article: Submit Employer Payment Summary (EPS) in QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll.
About the amount suffered, you'll have to complete payroll for the tax period so you'll be able to send the EPS after.
In case you need help with other tasks in QuickBooks Advanced, feel free to browse this link: QuickBooks Online Advanced Payroll hub.
Drop a reply anytime if you still have questions or concerns with EPS, I'll be around for you. Take care and have a good one.
Hi Kirsty
I'm having the exact same issue. Did you manage to resolve in the end?
Many thanks!
