I've uploaded a Csv file of my bank statements, somethings clearly gone wrong in the conversion and all transactions have appeared as credits. How do I delete them?

They are historic statements going back a bit. They are all currently waiting to be reviewed, obviously I don't want to just 'exclude' them as I won't be able to reconcile.

I've got all the steps to guide you in deleting uploaded transactions in your QuickBooks Online account, @pdlongbottom. 

 

Before doing so, it's important to note that when importing bank transactions, the data downloaded will depend on the file coming from your bank. To ensure you'll get the results you need, please make sure you have the correct CSV template format.

 

For downloaded transactions that aren't correct, we can use the Exclude feature and delete it from there. I can guide you on how: 

 

  1. Go to the Bank transactions menu.
  2. Choose your bank account.
  3. Under the For Review tab, put a checkmark on the transactions you want to exclude.
  4. Click Exclude.
  5. Proceed to the Excluded tab.
  6. Put a checkmark on the transactions, then tap Delete.

 

Once you download the correct transactions again, it's important to review and categorise them to maintain the accuracy of your financial records.

Thanks, that worked. Batch exclude, then batch delete. Reformatted csv file worked fine
