QB self employed 2 income and outgoing streams

Hi

The main part of the business is selling on eBay so the income and cost of goods is against that. Recently I sell on etsy too but different products and i would like to log the expenses and incomes separately but i cant figure out how to do it. I have added tags but i can apply them unless i go in one by one. I'd love any pointers to try out

Thank you in advance

Hi there, @Kris Godde.

Yes, tags can label your transactions and differentiate them from one to the other, For now, it is the only feature we can use while working and separating your income and expenses from both the eBay and Etsy platforms.

While the said option is not yet available, I recommend letting our product developers know about your request by sending feedback. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Assistant.
  2. Select the I need help button.
  3. Enter a few words describing how you wanted to accomplish your goal for today in the Text field.
  4. Choose Add a feature.
  5. Type in the option to add new ways of categorising transactions.
  6. Click Send.

You may also read this article for other ways to track your income and expenses: Categorise Transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

If there's anything else that I can help you with aside from working with your bank account and transactions, please let me know by leaving a comment using the Reply option below. Take care always!

Hi @Kris Godden I have the same problem with QB Self-employed. It seems to me that this version is very rigid and very UN-like self-employed people who work in so many different ways. Have a look at my question https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-uk/reports-and-accounting/re-qb-self-employed-separat...
