Hi Guy,
So I cancelled my subscription in February this year, I have just realised that I haven't kept a copy/ exported all my invoices.
I know QB keeps hold of my data for a year but I can't find any information anywhere on how to get back into my account to download the data without resubscribing.
Ive read in a few places that you can access a read only QB after cancelling subscription. Every time I try to log in it asks me to resubscribe.
Can anyone tell me how to retrieve my data without having to pay for another 6 months as that's a little ridiculous!
Thanks!
I'm here to ensure you're able to retrieve your data, Rudi West.
Yes, you're right. Your data is kept for one year after it was canceled. To determine the main cause of why you can't access your account without resubscribing, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support. They're equipped with tools to get this checked and investigated. Also, they can help you access your data.
Here's how:
In case you’d like to go back to your QuickBooks Slf-Employed account in the future, you can easily resubscribe again. Then, you can start working with your books.
Please come back and keep us posted on your progress in retrieving your data. I'm determined to get this resolve. Have a good one.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I cannot find the 'assistant' tab anywhere. By the looks of the screenshot you have provided the 'assistant' button is in fact in quickbooks. I however cannot log into my quickbooks as I no longer have an account thus cannot get to the button to contact someone...?
Thanks
Rudi
Thanks for getting back to us, @Rudi West.
Since you're still unable to log into your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account, you can use the test drive (sample company demo) version.
Once logged in, you may now follow the steps shared by my colleague above to reach our Support team. They have tools that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check why you're unable to log in.
Here's the link for the test drive: https://selfemployed.intuit.com/createTestDriveUser.
For tips and other resources, I also recommend visiting our website for future reference: Self-help articles.
Please let me know how it goes or if you have any other questions or concerns. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. I'm always here to assist. Have a good one!
