Where can I find the summary of all the Official Receipts that I have encoded?

Where can I find the summary of all the Official Receipts that I have encoded? I always get the summary of all the receipts that I have encoded for a certain month from our old software. I'm a first time user of QB Desktop 2019.

Hi Arzini,

We can open the Doc Center to locate the information you've entered.

Here are the steps:

  1. Click Company located at the top.
  2. Select Documents and choose Doc Center.
  3. From the Doc Centre window, select the attachment you want to view and click the View Details button.

This article also contains more information about QuickBooks Document Centre.

I mean, where can I find the summary of all the receipts I have encoded. We do not do attachments because of the number of Official Receipts arriving everyday. I'm trying to look for the summary that QB will provide. This is for me to check if all of the encoded receipts were as accurate as the Official receipts (/manualhardcopy).

Thanks for reaching out to us here again, @darteaga1982.

If you’re referring to receipts received from your customers, the Transaction List by Customer Report will show all entries recorded in QuickBooks. Let me help pull up the data.

  1. In your company file, tap the Reports menu to select Customers & Receivables and then choose Transaction List by Customer.
  2. Once the report opens, set the period by hitting the Dates drop-down and choose the correct period.
  3. Click the Customize Report button in the upper right hand to fine-tune the information.
  4. From the Filters tab, input Transaction Type in the Search Filters field and tap the drop-down to select Sales Receipt.
  5. Click OK.

However, if these receipts were recorded as expenses, let’s run the Transactions List by Vendor Report. Similar to the previous report will also customize it.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Reports at the top to choose the Vendors & Payables menu and pick the Transactions List by Vendor.
  2. Set the reporting period by clicking the Dates drop-down and click the Customize Report to filter the data.
  3. Choose the Filters tab to enter Transaction Type in the Search Filters field.
  4. From the Transaction Type drop-down, select the appropriate transaction type.
  5. Once done, click on OK.
