Hello there, rl14.

 

Let's ensure that you've set up your email address correctly. Let me guide you how:

 

  1. From the Gear icon, select Receipt forwarding.
  2. Follow the onscreen steps.
  3. Verify the email address via text message.
  4. Review the Your receipts must be sent from field.
  5. Click Done.

 

Once the receipts are forwarded, you're good to categorize them. Here's an article as your guide: Create rules to speed up reviews .

thanks. however, if you read my question carefully, you'll see that the desired e-mail address is showing as verified in the receipts forwarding page and still being rejected. hence the support query.

Let's make sure you'll be able to email images of your receipts to QuickBooks, rl14.

 

For now, we didn't receive any reports pertaining to forwarding receipts. Aside from the e-mail address that is showing as verified on the receipts forwarding page, you'll have to set up the email address and ensure that it needs to be the same as the one you use to sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed. I've included again this article so you can double-check the steps again: Forward receipt images to QuickBooks Self-Employed.

 

However, if you're still having the same issue, I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can investigate this further. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment. 

 

In the meantime, you can either attach the receipt to the transaction or scan the receipt and attach it. In addition, QuickBooks puts your transactions on the correct line of your Schedule C. For your reference, please read this article: Categorise transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
