Can anyone help with updating my bank transactions?

Unable to refresh my bank transactions (Santander). Every time I 'update', I get a 'Somethings not quite right' message saying 'An error occurred downloading your latest bank transactions. Please try again in a few minutes.' This has been going on 5 hours.

Steps I've taken so far are:
Changed browser from Chrome to MS Edge
Tried using Chrome incognito
Cleared the cache and cookies and restarted Chrome
Checked that I was able log in to the bank website
But none of the above has worked.

I'm considering disconnecting and reconnecting my bank accounts, but concerned that it might duplicate all the transactions I have so far.

Am I alone with this or is it a known issue that's being worked on?

No, there's no error number/code. The error message quoted in my original post was copied and pasted from the screen. The only thing missing is a red exclamation mark. Happy to supply a screenshot if it helps.

Can anyone help with updating my bank transactions?

Hi,

 

I've been looking a bit deeper into my problem of not being able to update my bank transactions and have an observation, could it be due to Open Banking?

 

I don't remember authorising any upgrade to Open Banking and it's been 107 days since the transactions were updated. Have I missed the grace period, maybe?  

 

Any thoughts?

Getting your bank transactions’ list updated is my priority, @andrew18.

 

You have 90 days to provide consent so you'll be able to update to the Open Banking connection. However, there's no specific deadline for you to do so since it depends on your bank or financial institution.

 

Meanwhile, here are other possible reasons why you're unable to receive updates in your transaction lists.

  • They may have implemented changes to their service offerings, Web Connect or Direct Connect.
  • An update on your bank’s information such as the name (bank merger), account number and login credentials require you to refresh it in QuickBooks.
  • You may have an Inactive Bank Account enabled for Online Banking in QuickBooks.
  • There may be ongoing maintenance on your bank’s website.

To manually update your bank transactions, here’s how:

    1. Log in to your bank’s website outside QuickBooks.

    2. Review your posted transactions and check for any connectivity error notifications.

    3. Once completed, log in to your QuickBooks Online account.

    4. Let’s perform a manual update on your connected bank account.

          a. Go to the Banking menu.

          b. Choose the Banking tab.

          c. Select your bank account.

          d. Click Update.

          e. If prompted, enter your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) credentials.

          f. Click the Continue update button.
