Hello Kris34,
You cant add a user to be able to just view and do invoicing the closest thing you will get is if you put them as a standard user so main cog wheeel>manage users>standard user>limited access>customer you will be able to then see a list of what they can and can not do in Quickbooks but that is the closest you will get.
Hello kris, you can either enter the invoices into qb or you can upload them via csv. If you go to main cog wheel>under tools>click import data> click on invoices we would recommend downloading the sample file so you know what yours needs to be like then save the file and then click browse and follow the steps to upload it.

Thank you for your response. As I already raise invoices separately and email to my clients, am I able to just upload the invoice into Quickbooks or should the invoice be raised within the invoices section.
Thanks again.
Kris.

Thank you! Very helpful.
No problem at all Kris, have a lovely day,
This isn't very helpful when you need the user to be able to enter new invoices, collect payments for existing invoices and manage the customers by adding or seeing them without seeing all of the current balances and stats of the business. Why would QB not have this option?
Hi katmacy23,
Financial records, especially bank records, are not intended for every user, so I understand where you are coming from.
I can help by sending feedback about this, so our engineers will know that you need an option to hide other financial records from some of your users. You can also do the same by clicking the Gear icon and selecting Feedback.
On the other hand, if you'll need references for QBO, simply visit the main support page and click on Get QuickBooks Help articles. You can also click Help in your QBO and search for the topics you want. For example, manage user's access.
Feel free to reach back out if you require any further assistance. I'll be here to help
