Hi Can anyone help please. When I take a picture of a receipt it's clear can read it perfect but when it's saved & I go back to look at it, it's now blurry & unreadable?

Does the same thing happen when you try take the photo on another device to upload them into your account?

I haven't tried, I will download the app on my husbands phone and try it.

Just tried on my husbands phone and again it took the picture perfect checked it and lovely and clear added it to transaction then went back onto it and the image is blurry.

Let's do some troubleshooting since this has nothing to do with your camera settings in your case. Let's refresh the app's data by following the steps below:

 

I'd suggest uninstalling the application and reinstalling it. This is done to start using the app on a clean slate.

 

To do that, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to your phone's settings.
  2. Locate the QuickBooks Online app and uninstall it. 
  3. Go to the App Store or Play Store to install the app.
  4. Log in to the app and try to use the snap receipt feature again to see if it works well.

 

If you're still getting the same error, you'll want to seek some help from our Support Team to investigate this further:

 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon and enter Talk to a human (then type it again when prompted).
  2. When asked by the bot, enter "Receipts and Bills".
  3. Select I still need a human, then proceed with Contact us or Get help from a human.
  4. Choose either Chat or Callback.

 

Furthermore, you can add an email for receipt forwarding in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is pretty simple. It can be done by going to the Receipt tab in the Banking menu.

 

Before we proceed, please note that once you've created an email address, you can't change it.

 

  1. In QBO, go to the Banking menu at the left pane to get to the Receipts tab.
  2.  Select Customize email.
  3. This is where you set the customized email address ending @qbodocs.com. For example, myname@qbodocs.com.
  4. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete.
