iOS app crashing

Hi, I’ve just signed up to QuickBooks. To say it’s not been straight forward as I was hoping is an understatement. The app every time I click add transaction it crashes. I’ve tried uninstalling then reinstalling and that doesn’t help. Any advice that may help is much appreciated.

Hello Wadey1, Welcome to the Community page, please can you try to update the app to the newest version and reset the app data. Refreshing the date in the app, ios 1. Go to menu (three lines going down in a line) and tap Help & Feedback 2. tap Refresh Data. Note: A message appears "Caution. If there was a problem getting your latest Quickbooks \Online data, you can refresh it now. It may Take a few mintues" 3. Tap Refresh to confirm if you still have any problems let us know. Thanks

I am using the self employed app. I honestly can’t see that anywhere.

I’ll make sure this concern gets resolved so you can manage your transactions efficiently without interruptions, @Wadey1.


Since the following instructions/icons aren’t accessible on your end, it would be best to contact our support team to check it further. With their tools, they can determine the cause of the issue and can find more solutions to ensure you’re able to add transactions to the app without crashing.


Here’s how:

 

  1. Tap the + button on the dashboard.
  2. Select Ask QB Assistant.
  3. You can type in “Talk to a human” in the field, then go to the Contact option.
  4. Choose to connect with us:
    • Message an agent for a live chat
    • Get a callback to get a call from our support team


You can also use this Support page to get in touch with our expert. Just select QuickBooks Self-Employed in the Product dropdown, enter a brief description of your situation, and then tap Continue.


If you have a task that needs to finish at the moment, you can log in to your QuickBooks account through a web browser to accomplish it. Then, refer to this guide to enter your sales income and expenses: Manually add transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I just downloaded the Sonoma OS and stupid me for doing it now my quickbooks immediately crashes without even opening up I saw a thread dates 3-23 where intuit was told of this problem by a beta user and it’s September now and intuit never put a patch the solution is to remove the software and reinstall it? Kinda backwards . Why not a patch

I completely understand the inconvenience you have faced, and your concern is valid, chris17171. We will bring this issue to the attention of our management team to improve our customer service.

 

Upon investigation, we have identified that the issue is related to investigation number INV-94154. Although our engineering team is actively working to resolve it, we suggest using a web browser to access the features affected by the issue in the meantime as a workaround. 

 

If the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our QuickBooks Self-Employed Support team to be added to the list of affected users. They will ensure that you receive timely updates on the issue via email. To contact our support team, please follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to Help (?) and select Contact us. Or, from the Assistant menu, select Assistant.

    Please note that if you're using the QuickBooks Self-Employed app, tap the + button and select Ask QB Assistant.

    1. Enter talk to a human, then select the enter icon.
    2. Select the options till you are prompted to choose a way to connect.
  2. Choose a way you want to connect with us: You can Ask the community or Message an agent to have a conversation with a support expert.
