Is it possible to sell a product at, set, different pricing levels e.g. trade and retail, or set a customer at a certain discount on QB online, or do I have to purchase QB desktop version.

Thanks for following up on this thread, @Matt Boyle. I'll share some information about these feature preferences in QuickBooks Online.
I understand the convenience of being able to set different prices for products as well as discounts for your customers. However, these features are currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online.
As of now, we don't have a specific date for when these features will be available. As a workaround, you’ll want to check out our QuickBooks Apps to integrate with a third-party app. From there, you can compare to find the best app that suits your needs.
I’d also suggest sending feedback to our product development team. They will evaluate these and pick some of them to include in future updates. This way, we can help you with your business needs.
Here’s how:
You'll want to track your suggestion through this website. You can also visit our blog to keep up with all of our recent events and developments.
I’ve added this article that you can utilize to add a discount to an invoice or sales receipt. This will guide you along the process of giving a discount to your favourite customers.
You might also want to customise your invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online. This way, you can add your personal touch to enhance the appearance, including the info.

Hello Jaybutcher,
Welcome to the Community page,
For Quickbooks online, we have different packages and prices for each package depending on what features you need to use. This link will take you to our pricing page for more information.
If you would also like to know the desktop prices we can give you them as well.
If you have any more Quires please reach back out to us and let us know.
I know there are different levels, I have downloaded a trial of the highest spec one, but there is still know where to add pricing level, there is on the american version and the desktop version.
Hello Jaybutcher,
The UK Quickbooks online currently does not have this feature like the American or desktop version. Might be something that comes out to the UK version in the near feature.
Consider having a 3rd party app to do so and integrate it with your QBO.

This has been something that your customers have been asking for consistently. I could understand the feature not being available because of software capabilities, but when the feature has been available to American QuickBooks Online customers for 2 years now, how do you justify the difference in service? Do American customers pay more?
Hi there, WillJoy.
I'll provide additional information about the available features in QuickBooks. Currently, the pricing levels feature is only available in the QuickBooks Desktop version. That said, this is not feasible in any region in QuickBooks Online.
However, as mentioned by Fiat Lux - ASIA, you can integrate with a third-party app to connect with QuickBooks online so you can set different pricing levels.
If there's a feature in QBO US that other versions don't have, this is because every county has a different accounting basis when running a business. With this, I suggest visiting our QuickBooks Blog to know about the latest news and updates from QuickBooks Online.
Please let me know if you have other questions related to QuickBooks. I'm always here to help. Take care!
Not sure I agree with the every country comment. Stack loads of business accross the world have different prices for different customers, and thus a need to invoice as simply and quickly as possible, pricing levels and the ability to set more then one per item and tag them to a customer is available to US, its needed here too, the argument that every country has different accounting basis is a very poor one, a smokescreen, just get the software coders to work on the UK version and offer the same, two years is a long time to wait. I dont know of many businesses that dont offer a discount to trade, larger groups. I would suggest that QBO online (who are a different company that QBooks Desktop, are not really geared up for the slightly larger business, and seem to have no desire to secure the trade, madness really as most business start small and dont particularly want to move software, but currently have to, unless they want to spend 40% longer entering different prices. Yes I know there is a discount button on the bottom of invoices you can use, but this does not allocate to locations or classes for analysis purposes and applies one set percentage to all products, instead of only on items you may wish to offer at a discount to a particular group of customers.
Is this feature available yet? Im trialling QBO, Sage One and Xero - this is a feature that would be really beneficial and it seems only Sage offers it. Surely its not much of a modification for the devs to program in? Why pay another fee to a 3rd party when its a pretty standard thing to require..
QBO - Is it coming to UK version or no?

Been asking for this feature for years. A quick search will show you that this feature has been requested numerous times by numerous people and yet still gets ignored.
I currently pay £40 a month to Erplain just for the privilege of having multi tier pricing, something that is available in QBO over the pond in the US and CA.
Its a ridiculous situation in this so-called modern connected digital age.
How is this solved??
Still waiting, and no word from Quickbooks.
Hi Gordon B, posts are marked as solved so that users viewing the thread can easily see the answer at the top without needing to read each post. In this case, the feature is not currently supported and feedback is recommended. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes to you.
I would suggest only marking these treads as solved once they are. You have not provided a solution but seem to have marked your own answer as acceptable.
Do you have any update on this as it is a massive issue for us and we are currently trailling sage which is a big move but it seems the UK market is ignored by QB online as many of the features we had with descktop are gone... but unsuprisingly they are ALL avialable if you live in the US
FYI Gordon B,
Just had this email from our account manager at quickooks:
"
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your email.
Price Rules also known as ‘Price Levels’ has been confirmed as functionality to be added into Quickbooks Advanced in the coming months. We have been told to expect a September/October release date subject to delay."
Someone mentioned Erplain at £40 a month ! Ludicrous
anyone using Erplain are you able to tell me if you can still invoice from quickbooks with price files if you use Erplain?
or do you make it on the Erplain app then take it to quickbooks?
Hi Hamza6
I have used Erplain and QuickBooks Online for the past 8 months, I really like it.
It is possible to manage different price levels on Erplain but you do all your sales workflow there. Then your invoices will be sent to QuickBooks Online.
I can attribute a price level to my products and to my clients. It helps us a lot as we have different sales channels.
Here is their website with the info on the integration.
