Hello PTY,

You'll want to use the Add subtotal button so you can print the subtotal amount to your invoices. Let me guide you though the steps.

  1. Click (+) Create.
  2. Click Invoice.
  3. Enter the invoice information. Then, click the Add subtotal button.
  4. Make sure to use the correct template by clicking Customise.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Click Print or Preview.

Once you're done, just click Print or Save and send to email your invoice.

I've attached some screenshots for you.

You can read this handy article about importing invoices for more information: Import custom form styles for invoices or estimates.

Please let me know if you have additional questions. I'm here to help you some more.

Hi @info379,

I'll be the one to take care of this query about the subtotal field for you.

It's not so much as an issue, but the product is intended to act in this manner. What you're referring to are the subtotal and the discount fields. While these fields will appear on the invoice creation page, they will disappear when you do a preview of the invoice, or send it out, or print it.

The fields in question will disappear from the invoice form if the amount is zero.

If you need to import custom form styles for invoices, look no further than the link I provided. This points to an article that has steps how you can design and import your custom form styles.

I'll be glad to provide further assistance whenever needed. Feel free to leave your questions in the comments below and I'll get back to you.

Hi Ryan, i'm having a similar problem but with an imported template. I have all the fields present alongwith the EZ codes and in the preview it seems to work, however when I attempt to download or send out a real invoice, the subtotal is blank.

Ive tried getting help from the chat team also, but to no avail. It's getting to the point where it's increasingly frustrating as no-one seems to be able to help.
