Stupid reply from Intuit. That updates page hadn’t been updated since Spring 2021!
Can you actually fix the issues before trying to force unwanted ‘new features’ on us customers.
I can see that you're more comfortable using the old menu option, user06667.
Changes to the options are coming from our requested customer's feedback/suggestions.

Thanks for wasting my time both in actually bothering to feedback and pointing me to a page that says nothing about the point I raised. Now I am under IR35 this has really made me think I wasting £25 a month you!
Thanks for now saving me £25 a month!
I've got a new strap line for you.
Inuit - Taking the Intuit our of Intuitive!
If you were trying to make it easier to find things, then I'm sorry to say you failed. Without notice our UI changed a week ago and it literally took me 10 minutes to find the 8 pages that I use every day. Perhaps you might give notice and if you are insistent on changing your UI to something much less intuitive, give instructions on how to find the pages.
Hi JWolf1,
I can see that the change has caused inconvenience to you. I also like the idea of having communication first before changing the UI, so the users will be prepared and will not have to spend time navigating around.
I encourage you to submit feedback by clicking on the Gear icon and choosing Feedback. This way our engineers can consider making improvements in the process in future updates.
You can always go back to this thread if you have other queries.
To say that the menu has been been changed due to feedback is nonsense.
This is an example of people making change for the sake of change. Where the top level menu was easy to see, it is now not, with a bunch of rubbish headings on the left hand side now, that make no sense.
In future can you make changes people want, not what some shiny backside person thinks will get him a pat on the back because he thinks it has made it better.
Agree with the inconvenience of the new layers on the main menu. Every other software developer is seeking ways to collapse layers in the fashion of Quickbooks' previous menu. No one other than intuit, to my knowledge, has added unnecessary layers. I would like to meet one of the users that suggested the change to find out why-how this is working for them. Maybe the rest of us are missing something. If this is just the UI team fixing something that isn't broken (breaking something that works?), it shows the classic programmer default setting of programming for sake of it. Would like to suggest they use the previous UI in a real world bookkeeping setting for at least 2 weeks, then reverting to the new UI. Nothing more would need to be said. If this comment is off base (as a user of the s/w for 7 years) and Intuit would like to reiterate the merits of the change, please be specific on the ways in which the change is better. If you're up for a taste test, give users the choice between the UI's. Be sure to make everyone aware of the previous UI availability and ease of reverting back (1 or 2 buttons max - and yes you can so do it). Doubtful we would see the stats on users reverting back. My guess is for those of us using this software for hours every day, it would be close to 100%.
Try clicking on the gear at top, and then on the lower right, there might be an option that says "Switch to accountant view." If you have that, you're lucky enough to go back to the way it should be!
appreciate the tip, however reverted back to the new (tedious) menu
I too was furious about this new change. Its awful and distracting. However I JUST found something that made it a bit more bearable (maybe it will help others too)....
If you edit the menu and add your most frequently visited tabs as a "bookmark" (Mine were Banking, Reports, Reconcile and COA) Then when you click on one of those bookmarks (as opposed to clicking through the menu levels) then the menu stays open and doesn't collapse and do its annoying animation. Just thought I'd pass along to others who have been struggling like I have with this menu redesign.
Agreed 10000% I don't understand why the hover feature was taken away. Now you have to actually click on each main Heading/Menu option to see the sub headings and hidden menu options. It takes forever to load and it is a pain if you don't have each and every option memorized to know where it is buried. I cannot imagine anyone requested this and I also can't fathom who at Intuit/QBO thought this was a great idea or what the purpose was. I've submitted feedback several times asking for a way to revert back to the hover feature but who knows what good it will do since Intuit thinks they know better than their every day users.
