Thank you for bringing this to our attention, IPCS.
We'll check to see what happened to your transactions.
As of right now, I'm only seeing your post about the undone transactions. Can you please try signing in to QBO using a web or a mobile browser and check the affected transactions? If you see the same thing, please contact our Support to investigate this. They might take screenshots for documentation purposes.
Please continue alerting us if you notice an unusual behavior again.
Yes, I've got exactly the same issue. It's ridiculous that so many people seem to be having the same or similar issues and nothing is being done to sort it.
My only account linked (a building society account) was also duplicated 3 times, so I also had 3 lots of everything.
Customer Service were no help whatsoever.
Hello, @Shaner555.
To narrow down the cause of this unexpected behavior, I encourage logging in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account using a web browser. Then, check if the transactions are unreviewed from there. Your bank may be disconnected causing the transactions to unlinked from their categories and cause duplicates when reconnecting the bank.
To handle duplicate transactions in QBSE, read this article: Exclude or delete transactions.
At this time, I encourage reaching out to our Support Team so they can review and check the issue further. To contact support, check this article: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

Hi all, I am feeling very discouraged and deflated at the moment. My quick books account seems to be very glitchy and all over the place. I painstakingly ensure my account is up to date with all of the transactions but updated my password to paypal a couple of days ago. Since then many of my transactions have been marked as unreviewed and many others have become duplicates. It's a mess and is likely to take me ages to sort out manually. I am even hesitant to do anything at the moment in case it corrects itself and the one's I review (again) end up as duplicates later on. Something like this happened about 2 years ago and it was horrendous. Now I am back here again. Feeling very discouraged with this accountancy tool at the moment, have absolutely no idea what my earning currently are, and how I should resolve it. Seriously thinking of looking for another accountancy manager as I can't cope with this unreliability. Any help appreciated. Thanks.
We want to get to the bottom of this, VM777.
You can follow the recommendation of my colleagues. If you're still encountering the same issue, I'd suggest reaching out to our customer care support. An agent will take a better look at the transactions. Just follow the steps provided by my colleague so you can get in touch with a live agent.
Once it's solved, you can already categorise and edit transactions in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I'm having this exact issue.
The team member I am chatting to has not been helpful. They keep telling me to just add a rule to my transactions. Which in theory would put them back in the reviewed section but this doesnt help with the lost receipts. Very frustrating.
Hi there, Isaac Webb.
I can see that you are worried about how you will record your lost receipts in Quickbooks Online. You can ask your bank a bank statement to review the transactions and think of the purchases you've made then do a reconciliation to spot on the missing transactions.
You can check out this guide from HRMC about lost recipts: General guide to keeping records for your tax return.
Count me in if you need further assistance. I''ll be a few clicks away. Take care.
I'm having this issue aswell. I'm Furious!!!!!! Quickbooks has also removed the majority of my receipts. Also quickbooks always says that my bank needs reconnecting even after i reconnect and it says it was successfully reconnected i return to accounts to find it says please reconnect even though it updated a minute ago. each time i reconnect my Unreviewed transactions double. I'm not impressed! who takes the blame for removing all my receipts and unreviewing my transactions. Its basically sabotage and its costing me a huge amount of money. An entire years worth of bookkeeping gone! and i need to submit my return
Hi there, @ag-handymanservi.
I can see the importance of having your bank transactions to be downloaded automatically in the system. I'd like to ensure that this banking concern will be taken care of.
To help verify the why your transactions are showing duplicates once reconnected, I'd recommend contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools that can investigate the root cause of this behavior and apply a fix.
To do that:
For now, to get your work done, you may consider excluding the duplicate transactions as suggested by my colleagues above. I've also included here a link that you can refer to on how to perform the process from the browser and on the app: Learn how to remove transactions downloaded from your bank.
Let me know if you need anything else with QBSE. I'm here to assist you. Keep safe!
I'm another customer who has been paying for nothing. This is crazy! QB has known about this issue since early 2020 and it's still happening.... last week I noticed that transactions from April 2020 up to now, that had been reviewed were showing as unreviewed.
The amount of time wasted trying to get help from Customer service is insulting. I have just now been told that my case has been raised, but...
Go through and recategorise all my transactions from April 2020 to August 2021. That's the actual serious answer I've been given.
I have been chasing an update for a week.
With respect, please no one advise me to contact customer service as it is pointless.
At this point, I want back all of the money I have invested into QB this year. My CC was stolen and a new one was implemented. It seems that this change marked an entire year's worth of transactions as unreviewed, which I am finding out minutes before logging in to pay my taxes. I do not have the time to go back through each individual transaction over an entire year. I spend hours each month keeping up with every single transaction as a sole proprietor. Unless QB is planning on refunding me all of my money or fixing the issue, without requiring hours of work on my part, I will not be satisfied. The fact that no support is provided in evenings or weekend shows how little QB understands the patrons which it serves. Particularly sole proprietors, at that.
