Hello Hayley Easter, thanks for posting on this thread, in the case where the VAT exceptions are valid, the exceptions will generate and automatically show onto your next return for you to then submit.

You get a VAT Exception report when there are changes to any transactions included on the previous filing.
If the exceptions aren't genuine and you need them to clear. I'd recommend undoing your VAT return, you have to contact QuickBooks Online Customer Care (UK) for a phone agent to assist you. They have specific tools to help you undo the VAT return.

What about if they are genuine. How do I get them onto the VAT return or will it do it automatically somehow
