VAT 3 IRELAND

We are an Irish company relatively new to Quickbooks Online.  Is it correct when preparing the VAT 3 return for Ireland and selecting View Summary in the dropdown menu, we get a VAT 201 Calculation Report - should it not say VAT 3?

Hello Mcooney, My apologies. We don't have a separate Community for the Irish region at the moment. We're not trained on VAT3 only in taxes in the GB region product so we would not want to give any incorrect advice. We have spoken with the chat team who supports your region and they have advised if you were to go to the file VAT you should then see it says VAT 3, the VAT 201 should match see in the VAT filing page. If it does not line up, If you click down into any of the lines in the 201 report it takes you to VAT detail, if the figures seem incorrect then it would be a case of going back to the chat support as they can do a screen share with you and drill down into where the discrepancy is.

Hi Ashleigh

My first port of call before posting here was to Support 3 weeks ago.

The VAT 201 Report boxes and figures do not match the VAT 3 Report.  I have never come across VAT 201 before but it comes up relating to South African VAT ?.

I was told by support " Apologies but this is how the system work as designed wherein vat 201 are available".  "Vat 201 is designed since OBO was created. It's the summary and details report for vat"

Thanks Ashleigh I thought I was posting to Quickbooks Community - general? There doesn't seem to be a Quickbooks Community Ireland page - unless you can give me the link?

Thanks again Ashleigh for your reply.  We do try to post on that link and it does show is Quickbooks Ireland community.  However when choose the discussion topic (which cannot be left blank) we are redirected to the UK or US community pages.  We just keep hitting a brick wall when it comes to Ireland / Support.  Do you have a link for an Irish moderator?QBO IE QUICKBOOKS COMMUNITY.jpg
