Why is the app using £ instead of dollar?. I am in USA

Hi there, @milcahbedandbrea.

I'm here to ensure you can use the QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) USA version.

It seems that you've subscribed to the QBSE United Kingdom. That's why the app using a pound sterling (£). With this, I'd suggest canceling the incorrect account to avoid double billing. Then subscribe to the correct one.

Here's how to cancel using a browser:

  1. Select the Gear icon on the right side.
  2. Click Billing info, then hit Cancel subscription.
  3. Follow the on-screen instruction.

You'll receive a cancellation email confirmation within 5 minutes. For more learning, check out this article: Cancel your QuickBooks Self-Employed subscription.

If ever this is a free trial, you don't need to cancel it because the account will automatically cancel after 30days.

Here's how to re-subscribe:

  1. Open this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/pricing/.
  2. Select whether to Buy now or use a 30-day free trial
  3. Enter your existing Intuit login credentials, then hit
  4. Follow the prompt instructions to finish the setup.

Once done, you can now import your transactions from the old account. For more details, check out this link: Manually import transactions into QuickBooks Self-Employed.

I've also added some articles about changing payment methods, handling subscriptions, and other topics.

After following the steps above, you can navigate the correct account. Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have other concerns. I'm always here for you. Keep safe!
