Are any other Handelsbanken users able to sync with their accounts? I have not been able to do so for over 2 weeks and am getting very little support.

Still not working for me.

this is unacceptable.

 

Perhaps they should change the message to; ‘Try again in a few months’!

To get your latest transactions, click Update If that doesn't work, there's a connection problem between QuickBooks and the bank. Try updating again in a few hours or tomorrow.(102)

With the error message 102 usually means your bank's website is experiencing technical difficulties, undergoing maintenance, or there is a server issue with the data transfer between us and the bank's website.

Hello MDR20, 

 

 

Error 9999 is usually accompanied by the message, “Sorry we can’t update your account, please try updating again later.” This means that your account’s transactions are not updating.

This is a temporary error and should automatically be fixed within 48 hours.

I note that Handelsbanken AND Natwest are now not connecting or updating. There is some sort of work being done to provide new bank feeds apparantly.... though it is taking an inordinately long time (as always).

 

How about a massive discount for all those customers inconvenienced by the incompetence of Intuit, whilst XERO has no problem at all connecting to the same banks!!

I'm here to lend a hand to your query about your online bank connections.

 

Given that standard feeds have moved on to the new regulation which is Open Banking, Handelsbanken is one of those banks that doesn't have this type of connection yet. As you mentioned in your previous post in this thread, you can manually upload your bank transactions using a CSV file. 

 

As for Natwest, it's showing here on my end that it can be connected through Open Banking. I'd like to ask for additional details as to why it isn't working for you. You can also refer to this article for troubleshooting steps: Open Banking Connection Errors. It lists the error codes specific for this feature, along with the steps you can take to resolve it. 

 

If you'd like to know additional banks that can be connected via Open Banking, see this article: Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking. I suggest you visit this article from time to time since it keeps getting updated.

I have tried to connect to NATWEST around twenty times now. EAch time I enter the Customer number, PIN and PAssword letters requested. EAch time I get both accounts showing up (with their balances) which I wish to link, I select them both (I have tried just selecting one as well several times) and hit CONTINUE, but I get the message below.   I have even tried linking another seperate (personal) Natwest account to see if there was some problem with the account itself but that yields exactly the same problem.   Remember, that XERO Connects to NATWEST no problem, so it is not NATWEST .... Is there a solution..?

Hmm. Something stopped us from connecting to your bank.

This isn’t common, but does happen.Try connecting again.

If that doesn’t work, contact Support for more help with this.

There are times we encounter unexpected error messages like what happened on your end. It occurs when there's too much cache stored in a browser. We can try something to sort it out. Let me provide you the way on how to do it:

 

Open your browser's private window. The private browser can isolate this issue. You can use the shortcut key's below depending on the browser you're using:

 

    • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
    • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
    • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
    • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If that works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. If the issue persists, you can use compatible browsers in QBO.

After trying to open the QBV in a Private Window of Firefox, the bank feeds to NAtwest finally work...!!

(Would be useful to put instructions to this effect inside Quickbooks, as it has taken me about three weeks to find this out!! ).  Will one need to use a Private Browser window every time one updates now..?

 

On the Handelsbanken front, we are still waiting of course. Any ideas when this open banking will be ready for Handelsbanken yet...?

Thank you for your prompt reply, and it's great to know that my peer's suggestion, @SarahannC, resolved one of your concerns. 

 

It isn't necessary to open a private window every time you need to update your bank feeds. Although, I suggest regularly clear your browser's cache, especially when you start experiencing unexpected issues.

 

As for the Handelsbanken online bank connection, there isn't a specific time as to when it will be available. Currently, it's set in the coming months. If you missed the article I provided on the thread, view it here: Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking. Handelsbanken is listed there, and you can regularly visit this page to check for updates.

So it is June now, the last time we had a communique was in MArch, about the HAndelsbanken Open BAnking feeds.

 

That is Three months!!

 

When can we expect this Open BAnking to be up and running for Handelsbanken please. Surely there must have beenn Some work don in the past three months...?  Loads of computer people working from home you know!!

 

A proper update with a firm date would be appreciated.

This isn’t what I want to for you when using the bank feeds feature. Let me share some information about the issue you’re experiencing with Handelsbanken.


We’ve received reports that some customers are unable to connect with Handelsbanken. Rest assured, our engineers are getting the Open Banking feature working.


While they’re still working on a fix, we’ll have to add your company to the notification list. This is to ensure you receive email updates regarding the resolution status.


I encourage contacting our QBO Care Team since they can add your company details in a secure environment. Please provide them this number for easy tracking: INV-42733.


Here’s how to reach them:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon at the top to select the Contact Us link.
  2. This will open another window where you can enter the issue/topic.
  3. Once done, click on the Let’s talk button to view the support information.
  4. Choose how you want to contact our QBO Care Team: Start a chat or Call us.

To fetch new transactions, I suggest you manually upload them using a CSV file. Check out the Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online guide for the step by step process.

Any Update on the Open BAnking Feed for HAndelsbanken yet...? Now nearly the end of July, so over FOUR Months spent working on this by your engineers.

 

I suspect there is less activity on this forum page now because most of the others have given up on QB and gone to XERO where the Open banking feeds work with Handelsbanken...

For now, you'll want to manually important bank transactions from Handelsbanken to QuickBooks Online.

 

Your financial institution and our Online Banking Team are still working to get the new Open Banking connection available.

 

To keep you updated, you can refer to this page: Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking. it specifies the list of banks with accounts on Open Banking and their status under the Actions column.

Just had the predictable response from QB telling me to upload a .csv file ... I have been doing this weekly for the past year!!  PLEASE dont tell me to do it again!!

 

What you COULD do is actually give a genuine time frame for the adoption of Open Banking with Handelsbanken, and if you have NO PLANS to adopt it, just say so!! Come on! Be Brave!!

Still unavailable so i have to upload csv, the issues I have are that a) the dates are in the wrong format so I have to open in excel and fix that and b) the csv that is downloaded has an opening balance row so that has to be removed (or ignored?).  So unless I am doing something wrong importing the csv is not as simple as QBO would like you to believe!

Unfortunately, we're unable to change the format of the CSV file which is exported from your bank and this does vary across financial providers, which is why we've aimed to keep our import tool basic so that it only requires three or four columns of data. If your bank does offer a QBO format, please use this as it won't require any additional re-formatting. If you're struggling to import the file, please refer here for some further tips or get back to us below.

Any chance of aN UPDATE AS TO THE POTENTIAL TIMESCALE WE MIGHT EXPECT OPEN BANKING TO be added yet...?  After all, we have been waiting for five months now since the other one went off.....?

We understand the urgency of having this available immediately to cut off the time taken when importing bank entries.

 

Our Finance Team is continuously working with other financial institutions like Handelsbanken to get onboarded with Open Banking. The estimated turnaround time on when this connection will be available for your bank is not yet released.

 

We recommend manually importing your transactions to ensure your register's balance is accurate while this is being looked into. To get updated once Handelsbanken is already supported for Open Banking in QBO, check out this article: Understanding if you can upgrade your bank feeds to Open Banking

That's a loaf of rubbish. I've seen official documentation from Handelsbanken where they say the implementation from there end is complete and just waiting on you bunch of idiots. Get it bloody escalated.

Yes , this seems an EXTREMELY low priority for Intuit... Who cares if a few Handelsbanken customers leave us and go to Xero... ??  We have masses of Barclays, NatWest and Lloyds customers so that’s ok. Seems a very poor and bizarre company policy, because the work needed to add the Handelsbanken coding probably only takes a couple of hours.

 

it would be nice to know some truth here from senior management. If you are simply not going to add Handelsbanken at all,  just man up and say so!!

I understand QuickBooks have been testing Handelsbanken's API over the last few months and have encountered an issue which QB have advised will prevent them from integrating with Handelsbanken's  API in the near future. 

 

Please confirm that there is currently no fix.

If you get a sensible and meaningful reply from Intuit/QB I would be very surprised... I wish they would just say they cannot be bothered to fix this issue (See above) , rather than keep stringing us along. This has taken six months now.

 

What they probably will do is tell you how to upload a .csv file!! (Which I have been doing weekly for the past six months)

 

I wiould change to Xero, because they have no issues with Handelsbanken linking at all...

And here we are - nearly the end of November.... No Connection with Open BAnking at all, despite HAndelsbanken being able to connect with Xero via Open Banking for the past six months.

What is going on...?  Can Intuit just be brave enough to say "sorry, we cannot be bothered to connect up Handelsbanken".... just be honest!!  Come on!! You know you can do it!!

 

....meanwhile, back to the csv file ...   Yawn.
