Almost a year of csv files. Snor. It's absolutely disgraceful to string customers along like this. Be brave quickbooks - and save all the complaints - we'll respect you way more for it.
Interesting that we are not getting any feedback/response from moderators on here any more. ..!!
They clearly are not going to fix this problem but just won't admit it.
Anyway, my business can cope with the stupid CSV files... Annoying, but do-able... If it becomes a real pain I will have to get XERO instead...
The problem is once your in bed with these accounting online systems it's hard to move away unless your business accountancy setup is small.
If it is of help I am a Handelsbanken customer and there is a way you can download all your accounts transactions in one report and very easily split them into multiple files to import seperately.
If anyone wants some help doing this let me know I'll give a guide.
Fortunately my accounting profile is small - I have sacked QuickBooks - won't touch them again. Not only the banking, the software was buggy throughout with many hours on the phone to my accountant to sort out emergency glitches as a VAT return was due in.
I can download balance & transactions from Handelsbanken account, but have to use bank log-on card and keypad every time.
Which is very time consuming, this should have been fixed by now, its been over a year.
Hello John2020, We take your comments on board as soon as the connections is ready for Handlesbanken we'll update that here
Its now been 340 days since I have been able to connect my quickbooks to my bank account. I would be really grateful if someone could just confirm if it will ever be resolved? If it isn't then it would be nice to just say so.
I know. I have been asking the same question and the staff / moderators simply won’t answer. Bloody annoying really ( and quite disrespectful of their customers) but it is just a stonewall. You will get no response other than “ upload a file” yawn.
As you say, we would rather get a NO than a NO ANSWER...
Hi, I have found a solution. I have quit quickbooks, never to return. I can't believe I got an email from this thread today, and its still not sorted.
There was only one function that I found quickbooks helped me with, and that was invoicing. Otherwise it was clunky, buggy and unfriendly.
However, now I write and publish my own invoices in excel, I have some freeware (a small choice available online) that does my MTD VAT, and I have told my accountants to use whatever they want - but don't put me on quickbooks, so I just bung them my receipts.
I spent hours fixing bugs with this software, and then the Handelsbank thing was the last straw. I just don't need this in my life.
It's not like they have even bothered to update anyone in what is a very concerning issue to people with small businesses.
I wish I could make it better, @Tabbyatthefarm and @ian19 .
Our engineers are aware and currently working together with your bank to provide updates in a timely manner so you and other users can get back to business in no time.
In the same manner, we're also unable to provide the exact turnaround time as to when will your bank be available for the integrated connection with the online banking feature.
With this, I'd still recommend manually uploading your bank transactions so you can review and categorise them accordingly. To do so, here's an article you can read for the detailed steps: How to get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them?
On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Banking for QuickBooks Online.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comments below. I'll b here to lend a hand.
So as an IT Security consultant, I am well aware that this issue is with quickbooks, not Handlesbanken. It needs a new application interface writing with the correct encryption techniques to work with Handelsbanken security, which is in itself not unusual, its all industry standard techniques.
In 340 days, we have been subjected to a novel virus pandemic that has hit the globe. Medical technicians have identified the virus protein and how it impact cells and the immune system, developed a vaccine based on the genetic sequencing of the virus RNA that is seemingly very effective, and delivered this solution to almost half of the country.
Meawhile, as you stated above, your engineers are still scratching their heads over this.
Good luck, lets hope you don't get any serious security issues!! :)
I used to quite like quickbooks however the more I'm waiting for the connection to Handelsbanken the less I am liking it,
.
it is taken two years or more for this problem to be fixed it just sounds like flannel, this issue just has not been addressed we are paying for a service for ease of use for small businesses yet we are not receiving it please address this I have been round the bend with Handlesbanken they say it is a quickbooks issue so please write this software apologise to you customers - yes you are taking they money - and get on with it.
Yes, I believe Xero syncs with Handelsbanken seamlessly and has done so all along.
my transaction numbers are relatively low , which is why I am avoiding the hassle of switching to Xero, but it is clearly the better package, and seems to actually resolve issues - unlike Intuit - so I am doing the dreaded CSV file about once a week with QB. Clunky and slow, but not a massive issue for my business structure. There is also the hope that Intuit may just, you never know, actually listen to all this and decide to create a link to Handelsbanken after all... we live in hope.
However, I think if your business has a high volume of transactions through Handelsbanken, you are far better off switching to Xero, as their package handles it well.
Hello @james64 , @Fiat Lux - ASIA , @ian19 , @John2020 , @Limehouse , just to let you know, Handelsbanken's personal and corporate accounts can now connect with QuickBooks.
Please ensure when you reconnect you need to ensure all the existing transactions are reconciled as the feed seems to download them all again, this way you can exclude the ones up to the last reconciliation date.
