The steps for cancelling your QuickBooks account vary on how you have purchased the subscription. If bought directly from Intuit, you can perform the process below:

1. Open a web browser on your computer, not a mobile device.
2. Sign in to QuickBooks as an admin user.
3. Go to the Gear icon and select Subscriptions and billing.
4. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're cancelling a trial, choose Cancel trial.
5. For QuickBooks Sole Trader, select Cancel.
6. Follow the on-screen steps.

Additionally, for a year following account cancellation, you will have read-only access to your data. Before we delete your data, you will have the opportunity to resubscribe within the allotted period.
