Just to clarify, when you mention changing your phone number and entering the +91 country code, could you please let me know which specific region or country you are trying to enter? As mentioned earlier, the +91 country code is specifically assigned to India.

 

Additionally, in many countries, including India, a standard phone number format typically consists of 10 digits, excluding the first digit of your phone number. If you're certain that the phone number you're trying to enter belongs to your desired region and follows the correct format, the system should generally allow you to proceed with the phone number update.

If you continue facing difficulties, your browser's cache and cookies might be causing issues. To troubleshoot this, I recommend using a private browsing window. You can open a private browsing window by using the following keyboard shortcuts:

 

  • Ctrl + Shift + for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl + Shift + for Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge
  • Command + Shift + for Safari

 

Then, try clearing your browser's cache and cookies and attempt the process again. If the problem persists, try using a different web browser

Hi, thanks for the response.

 

This is not about the company number for sales form. This is about the one where I get the codes for signing in. I am trying to add an accountant but they are sending codes to my number which I'm unable to receive, that is why I am trying to change my number from UK one to India with +91.

 

See the screenshot attached. There is no space for entry +91. If I enter my normal 10 digit Indian number, how does the system know that it's +91 and not a UK one?

Thanks for reaching back and providing additional details about changing your Intuit phone number, Jordan. 

 

Upon checking your screenshot, it seems like you're in the process of recovering your account. Since you want to change your phone number, just log into your Intuit account and edit your information from there. Here's how:
 

  1. Sign in to your Intuit account.
  2. Click Sign In & Security from the left menu.
  3. From the Phone section, click the Verify link. Then, hit Change
     

Intuit sends a verification code when changing a phone number as part of the Multi-factor authentication for security enhancement. The code will be sent to your UK phone number after clicking change to confirm the user's identity. After entering the code, you can then change your phone number from UK to India. See the screenshot below for a visual reference.

 

 

By selecting India, the system will automatically recognize that your phone number is associated with that specific region.

 

Since you're unable to receive any verification codes from your UK mobile phone number, check out this article for the resolution: I didn’t get a text, email, or phone call with my verification code.

 

For more assistance, you can request to recover your account by providing the necessary verification documents to our Phone Support Team. Here's how to contact them:
 

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Select Search, then press the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your question in the box and hit Continue.
  4. Please choose the best way you'll want to reach out to us.

Hi, 

 

I'm unable to receive any calls or texts on my UK number and that's the exact reason I'm trying to change it to an Indian number. If I was able to receive codes, I wouldn't be trying to change the number.

 

See again the screenshot of the page where I'm trying to change the number (on the recovery page) and it doesn't have space for me to enter +91.

Hello jordan-twostaff-, thanks for coming back to us here at Quickbooks Community, with the account being a UK account you can't enter in an Indian number it would need to be a number that is UK. we suggest that you fill in our ECR form and you can put down the same UK number that you are already trying to receive the code to, as there shouldn't be any issues with that. could we also ask what mobile network you are on? If you click on this link, scroll down to the blue box that says recover my account and then fill in all the details it asks for the team who deals with these requests is usually completed within 24 hours.
