Missing bank feed transactions

Let me help and provide clarification about your banking concern, AshleyPP.

The issue regarding missing banking transactions from Starling bank is already closed and resolved. We'll have to perform a manual update to refresh the bank feeds connection and fetch the latest entries.

Here's how:

  1. Head to the Banking menu on the left panel and choose Banking
  2. Click the Blue tile icon and select your account.
  3. Tap the Update button.

Regarding the missing entries, let's manually upload them into QuickBooks Online (QBO). When importing your bank data, the program can handle 3-column or 4-column formats.

Also, the following details can be added to the file: DateDescriptionAmountCredit, and Debit. You can go over this article for tips on how to successfully bring the information into QBO: Format CSV files in Excel.

Now that your transactions are in QuickBooks, match and categorise them. This way, you can balance the account easily.

You can also follow the solutions in this in case you run into any online banking issues and errors:

Keep me posted if you have additional questions or concerns managing your bank feeds data from Starling bank. I'll get back to help you the best that I can.

Missing bank feed transactions

I get about 1 missing transaction per month. So it is not fixed for us.

Hi,

it is clearly not resolved, as you can see from me and other replies yesterday, I have looked through our bank statement and as other posters say there are several missing per month.

Hello jrc12 and AshleyPP, thanks for joining this thread

Please reach out to our support team directly on 0808 234 5337 so that we can gather some account details and examples of the missing transactions for our banking team. For any transactions that have not been downloaded, please consider importing these via a CSV file or add the missing transactions in manually (e.g. as a bank deposit, transfer, sales receipt, or expense).

Missing bank feed transactions

Hi, I have done this several times, as well as working through the issue with Starling, Quickbooks Support said it was an issue at Starling. Starling said it was nothing to do with them. There does not seem to be any way to track back which transactions have been sent through so it is difficult to identify what is happening.

We generally have 1 or 2 transactions missing each month, usually card transactions, though we did not have any missing in September, hence my question about when the "fix" was made.

Missing bank feed transactions

We have been experiencing random sporadic missing transactions for Starling across mulitple clients for months now.

It's not acceptable. It's making our data and reports unreliable.
Having to manually upload the missing transactions is time consuming as have to manually go through physical bank statements to identify which transactions are missing before we can upload.
Clients are also getting frustrated that we have to ask them to download statements each month for them - they say "why do we need to download statements when there is automatic bank feed" and we have to tell them it's not working properly which they then get anxious about.

Honestly thinking of moving all Starling clients across to Xero!
I spoke to someone at QBs support today about this and they said that QBs wasnt aware of any Starling issues and that it may be Starling not sending the transactions to QBs. We can't call Starling on clients behalf as they wont speak to us which means we would potentially need to ask the client to call which they won't want to do!
Please get this sorted QBs!!!!
