I have the same today! Won’t connect and says bank issue.
Am having same issue, bank info last updated on 11th july 9pm and now keeps saying bank connection error tried to use qb assistance but thats not loading properly and tells me to update app but i am on the latest version

Beforehand, can you please share with us the name of your bank provider and what specific error code or message you see? This way, we can better check if there are any related issues with your bank on my end.
In the meantime, I suggest signing into your bank’s website to check if there's an issue on their end. Once you're signed in, you'll want to review the following:
If everything looks good, go back to QuickBooks and manually download your transactions again:

For QBO mobile app, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It will allow you to use the app on a clean slate and connect with our live support team.

Neither of my bank accounts will connect and they are Santander and Llyods. I have checked consent to connect and both are still current and i get no error code it just says there is a bank connection issue

Have you checked with your bank's website if they have security or maintenance updates in their system? This message mostly happens if there's a problem on your bank's end.
In the meantime, you'll also want to follow what Fiat Lux - ASIA mentioned above. You can use a private/incognito window or other supported browsers to isolate the issue.
Moreover, to ensure you can still work with your books in QBO, you may consider manually uploading your bank transactions via CSV file. Once done, categorize and match them to make sure they are allocated to the correct account.
