On my QB Dashboard under cash flow the current cash balance shown simply reflects what I have in my HSBC accounts. Both of these accounts are under 'Transactions' where they get synched feeds from my bank.
But I also have other bank accounts set up. They are categorised exactly the same as my HSBC ones but the money in them is not included in the cash balance. Can't figure out why.
On the right hand side of the dashboard where it has a list of all 'Bank Accounts' they are showing, including Paypal etc.

Hello Bifdiff, On the dashboard, if you click on the figure for the current cash balance it reverts to those 2 accounts? We'd like to look at this further but we'd need to look at screenshots if you do not wish to post them in the public forum can you DM/PM FaceBook or Twitter under QuickBooks UK with a screenshot of the cash balance you are seeing and the transactions which show behind it and one of the list of accounts you have added so we can see why there is a discrepency.
I can share some information about bank connections in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @biffdiff.
The information that's being downloaded in the Banking or Transactions tab always depend on how a bank shared it with QuickBooks. Once these transactions are transferred, QuickBooks automatically analyze its information.
If you have missing transactions from the bank, you can manually download the transactions from the bank and then upload the file to your account.
Download bank transactions:
To upload the file to your QuickBooks account:

Hi Mary,
Thanks for your response. I'm not missing any transactions. All the accounts and transactions are there in quickbooks and the accounting is correct. Simply the dashboard where it shows the current cash balance only reflects the balance of two of the bank accounts. That's the issue.
The only difference I can see in these two bank accounts from the others is that they are under 'Transactions' which get synched. That's the only reason I mentioned it.
If I transfer from one of the bank accounts, that is reflected in the current cash balance, to another bank account, then the current cash balance drops by that amount. Even though the company still has the same amount of cash and it hasn't been spent anywhere.
Thanks.
Hello Biffdiff, can we ask you are some of your banks connected via the banking section and others aren't?
Hi,
If you mean via the bank connection which automatically downloads data from the bank, then yes. The two bank accounts that are connected seem to represent the cash balance.
But on the right hand side of the dashboard you see a list of all 'Bank Accounts' and all of them are shown there including Paypal etc. So QB does identify them as bank accounts but just doesn't want to use their balance towards the current cash balance.
Thanks

Can we know how this was resolved?
We can see linked accounts from one bank, but it doesn't contain ALL of the linked accounts from that bank.
Nice to see you join this thread, @ferventcoder.
I can share with you some insights on how to isolate and get around this issue.
I recommend logging out and logging back in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO). This refreshes your account and for the updates to take effect.
If this is not the case, I suggest accessing your account in a private or incognito mode. This way, we can check if this is a browser cache issue. The browser uses cache data to swiftly load web pages faster. However, too much of it causes issues that affect the views and performance of your account.
Using a private window helps us verify the issue as this doesn't save any data files. You can refer to these keyboard shortcuts in opening an incognito window.
If you're able to view the linked accounts in your bank, I recommend clearing your regular browser cache. This deletes all the data from your browser and optimizes its performance. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific issue.
