Two bank accounts in summary, one connected.

I've contacted support on two occasions and both times it went to the "engineering" team who fob me off.

I have ONE bank account connected to QBSE. In my Dashboard, there are TWO bank accounts.

They are both the SAME bank account, one syncs and one doesn't. When I try to remove the duplicate bank account I only get the option to remove the one I intend to keep.

The engineering team's solution is as follows:

  1. Please re-attempt to connect the bank affected previously.

How can I reconnect a bank account which is already connected?

I am getting the same issue on my phone, even after clearing cache and app data.

Maybe someone on the forums will know how to fix this, or maybe someone higher up at QuickBooks will be able to help.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi PerunComputers, thanks for your post - we'd be happy to take a closer look at this for you. Checking in the background, I can see that the duplicate account encountered a 105 error when connecting - do any further accounts show when selecting 'your past and duplicate consents' on the bank management screen?

Thanks PerunComputers, in this case, I'd be grateful if you could remove the existing connection in attempt to remove both accounts. To do this, navigate to the Cog > Manage accounts > Select the bin icon beside the account > Confirm deletion on the pop-up that appears. After this, sign into QuickBooks via a private browsing window (on Chrome, you can access this by pressing Ctrl + Shift + n at once) and re-add the account. Please note, deleting a bank or credit card account will also remove the transactions under it, however you will be provided with a date to begin downloading the transactions from during the reconnection process (as an alternative, historical transactions can also be recovered as previously categorised by our team).

I have done this before and it removed the active account.

The bugged account remained.

Hello PerunComputers, if the same thing does happen if you reach out to us on social media Facebook or twitter with your issue we will then be able to raise this up to our engineers and get the transactions recovered like GeorgiaC has already stated to you.
