I'm here to help ensure you're able to connect your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
There are reasons why you're having trouble connecting your RBS bank to the system. These are due to the following:
- Your bank has multiple names on our list.
- Your bank doesn't connect to all types of accounts, such as personal, business, or corporate accounts.
- The bank isn't a participating financial institution.
To help fix the connecting issue, let's use the Bank's URL into the search bar.
Here's how:
- Go to your bank's website and log in to your account.
- Copy the URL.
- Log in to your QBO account.
- On the Banking page, click on Add account.
- In the search field, paste the bank's URL.
- Under results, click on the bank
- Enter your username and password.
- Click on Connect.
However, if you're still unable to sync bank account, I'd suggest requesting support for your bank. See Step 3 through this article for the detailed steps: Find Your Bank Or Credit Card Account When You Connect To Online Banking.
As a workaround, I have two options that you can consider for you to bring in transactions in QBO. You'll just have to download transactions from your bank's website and upload them to the program. Refer below links for guidance:
Once done, go to the For Review tab to review and categorise the transactions.
If you need anything else in managing your transactions in QuickBooks, I'll be right here to help. Leave me a comment below. Wishing you and your business continued success. Take care.
