In attempting to set up my first rule I have mistakenly applied it and got the wrong outcome.
I wanted to assign cash bankings from the bank link by a rule but have sent a bunch of transactions to Sales Income rather than Deposits, which I think would have permitted me to choose an account.
I can do a journal to switch accounts but that leaves the sales transactions in place.
I could delete the sales transactions and manually input the deposits to the right account but what effect would that have on bank reconciliation?
Is there anyway of rewinding things back to before applying the rule please?
Thanks
Dave

Welcome to the Community, @Mr Tangerine Man.
Let me help you correct this to ensure the transactions look fine when returned to the For Review tab.
Yes, you can do a couple of journal entries to correct this. When sales transactions are deleted from QuickBooks, it will leave a discrepancy in your bank reconciliation.
So what we'll do, is to follow the happy path. I suggest deleting the incorrect bank rule and then undoing the transactions from the Categorized tab to ensure the bank feeds won't auto-confirm once you undo them.
Here's how:
Once done, you can go to the Categorized tab to undo transactions. Let me show you how:
The transactions have now returned in the For review tab. Then you'll want to set a new rule that will help auto-categorize your transactions. I'm adding this reference for more insights: Unmatch downloaded bank transactions.
