Welcome to the Community, @Dawn.

I'd be glad to guide you in tracking how much holiday your employees have taken in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

You can run a report to show the current leave balances for each employee.

For QBO Advanced Payroll, here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll, and select the Reports tab.
  2. Under Payroll, select Leave balances.
  3. Select the following:
  • Date range. Or if you want to select a specific pay run instead, select the arrow icon to switch to the pay run filter.
  • Group by Leave accrual location or Employee default location.
  • Select the employee location
  • Leave type (annual leave or company sick leave)

       4. Select Run report.

For QBO Standard Payroll, here's how:

  1. Select Reports.
  2. Scroll down to the Payroll section.
  3. Select any of the available reports to view:
  • Annual Payroll Summary
  • Employee Contact List
  • Employee Details
  • Employment Payment Record
  • Payroll Details
  • Recent/Edited Time Activities
  • Time Activities by Employee Detail

For future reference, I'll add this article to guide you to apply multiple filters in customizing your reports: Customise reports in QuickBooks Online.

Please feel free to leave a comment below, if you have further concerns about running a report or other QBO-related concerns. I'll be here to assist you.

Keep track of how much holiday employees have taken

I have QB Desktop.  Our employees get paid holidays based on the number of years worked.  How can I track how many they have used?  For example.... Sick and vacation can be tracked as to how many hours available and how many hours are used (see attachment) I can also enter how many hours that they have accrued at the beginning of the year and reset them each year (see attachment)   I want to be able to do the same thing for their Holidays.  Every employee gets Thanksgiving and Christmas etc.... but the longer you are an employee the more paid holidays you earn.  How can I track this in QB.  FYI... I already have holiday pay set up in my payroll to pay employees.  I want to track the holiday hours that they have available and have used just like I can with vacation and sick pay.
